Abstract

The invention relates to a tree holder, in particular Christmas tree holder, with a pot (2) and an insert (3), capable of being inserted into and taken out of the pot (2), for fixing and centering trees, the insert (3) having a ring (10) which coaxially surrounds its longitudinal axis (17) and to which at least two web-like parts (18-20) are fixed, each of which extends up to the outer wall (7) of the pot (2) and whose ends (side parts (21-23)) remote from the ring (10) are guided around the upper edge (4) of the pot (2). In order to guarantee a firm seating of the generally prefabricated inserts (3) in the pot (2) even where the external dimensions vary from one pot to another, the invention proposes to provide at least one resilient frictional connection between the side parts (21-23) and the pot (2). This is preferably achieved in that the side parts (21-23) are bent back inwards towards the longitudinal axis (17) of the insert (3) and contact the outer wall (7) of the pot (3) at least in a region (26,27) in a frictionally locking manner. <IMAGE>

Description

Technisches GebietTechnical field

The invention relates to a tree stand with a pot and an insert which can be inserted and removed in the pot for fastening and centering trees.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

Tree stands of the generic type are known per se (see DE-A-1429969). They are mainly used to set up Christmas trees (Christmas trees). The pot is an open ceramic, porcelain, glass or plastic container. This contains the insert for fastening and centering the respective tree.

The mostly metallic insert consists of a base plate, which rests on the bottom of the respective pot, and a metal ring arranged approximately at the level of the pot rim, through which the tree to be fastened is inserted and fastened by means of screws. The base plate and metal ring are firmly connected to each other via several (usually three) web-shaped parts. The Web-shaped parts are shaped in such a way that they touch the inner wall of the pot at predetermined locations in the middle or lower region and thus center the insert in the pot.

For permanent attachment of the entire insert to the pot (in particular to avoid tilting movements of the insert in the pot), several further (usually also three) web-shaped parts are attached to the ring, the ends of which (side parts) facing away from the ring each around the upper one Are led around the edge of the pot and lie as close as possible to the outer wall of the container.

A disadvantage of the known tree stands is above all that a sufficient hold of the side parts on the outer wall of the pot is only guaranteed if the insert and the pot are largely and contiguously aligned in the edge area. So there must be a flat enclosure of the pot edge on the part of the side. In practice, however, this is not easy to achieve.

Depending on the raw material, preparation and manufacturing process, the specified external dimensions of the pots can only be achieved within certain limit values (manufacturing tolerances). This applies in particular to pots made of ceramic materials, in which a large number of influencing factors (not least when firing and possibly glazing) ensure different results. So it often happens that pre-made inserts cannot be used because the outer dimensions of the pots do not correspond enough to the specified values, ie they are too small or too large. This then forces expensive custom-made products to be used.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying tree stands of the type mentioned, in which a tight fit of the prefabricated inserts in the pots is ensured even if the latter have different external dimensions (noticeable manufacturing tolerances).

This object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. Further particularly advantageous embodiments of the invention are disclosed in the subclaims.

The invention is based on the knowledge that a purely positive connection between the side parts and the outer wall of the pot, as has been sought up to now as perfectly as possible, is ultimately a hindrance, and that, in contrast, a positive spring connection is not only sufficiently secure, but also to a considerable extent is adaptable.

This is achieved in that the side parts are bent back inwards towards the longitudinal axis of the insert in such a way that they non-positively touch the outer wall of the pot in at least one area. The radial distance between the longitudinal axis of the insert and the area of the respective side part with which it presses against the outer wall of the pot is preferably selected such that even with a pot with the smallest possible outer diameter in this wall area is still a sufficiently strong one Non-positive connection exists. For pots with a larger diameter, there is inevitably a stronger adhesion, because these are clamped even more resiliently between the individual side parts of the insert. Further preferred features can be found in subclaims 2-6.

In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a Christmas tree stand which essentially consists of a pot 2 and an insert 3 which can be inserted and removed in the pot 2. The pot 2 is a ceramic container open at the top; It can just as well be a porcelain, glass or plastic container. Its upper edge 4 is bead-shaped. The inner wall, the floor and the The outer wall of the pot 2 are identified by the reference numerals 5, 6 and 7.

The insert 3 made here of metal (occasionally also made of plastic) has a base plate 8 with a mandrel 9 thereon and a ring 10 arranged at the level of the pot rim, through which the tree to be fastened (not shown here for reasons of a better overview) inserted and locked by means of adjusting screws (also not shown). Base plate 8 and ring 10 are firmly connected to one another via three web-shaped parts 11-13. The parts 11-13 are shaped in such a way that they touch the inner wall 5 of the areas of the pot 2 designated 14-16 and thus the base plate 8 is fixed approximately in the central area of the pot base 6.

For secure attachment of the insert 3 to the pot 2 and for centering the entire insert 3 with respect to the longitudinal axis 17 of the tree stand 1 and thus the pot 2, three further web-shaped parts 18-20, preferably made of a spring plate, are attached to the ring 10 which, as shown in FIG. 1, can be parts (extensions) of the above-mentioned web-shaped parts 11-13.

The ends 21-23 (side parts) of the web-shaped parts 17-19 facing away from the ring 10 are connected according to the invention to the outer wall 7 of the pot 2 in the region of the bead-shaped edge 4 in a resilient (non-positive) manner. For this purpose, the side parts 21-23 are bent inwards towards the longitudinal axis of the insert (corresponds to the longitudinal axis 17 of the tree stand in FIG. 1). The resilient clamping effect of the side parts that can be generated in the following is included 2 described, which represents an enlarged section of the edge region of the pot 2 designated by 24 in FIG. In addition, the position of the side part 22, which it occupies when the insert 3 is not inserted into the pot 2, is also shown in broken lines in FIG.

Figure imgb0001
Dabei bedeuten:
R = Abstand (für den aus dem Topf herausgenommenen Einsatz 3) zwischen der Längsachse 17 des Einsatzes 3 und dem Bereich des jeweiligen Seitenteiles 21-23, der kraftschlüssig nach dem Einsetzen des Einsatzes 3 in den Topf 2 an der Außenwand 7 dieses anliegt;
In order for the pot 2 to be firmly clamped between the side parts 21-22 at different outside diameters, the relationship must apply: R <D min / 2nd
Figure imgb0001
Here mean:
R = distance (for the insert 3 removed from the pot) between the longitudinal axis 17 of the insert 3 and the region of the respective side part 21-23, which non-positively rests on the outer wall 7 after the insert 3 has been inserted into the pot 2;
D min = smallest outer diameter that occurs in the case of several pots 2 in the area in which the respective side part 21-23 bears non-positively on the outer wall 7.

In Fig. 2 R and D are shown for the case that the frictional connection is effected by the rounded tip 25 of the side part 22 in the region 26 of the pot 2. The same also applies to the additional non-positive connection area designated 27, which results from the bead-shaped bulge of the edge 4, so that advantageously two resilient non-positive connection areas 26, 27 are present in the illustrated embodiment.

As can be seen directly from FIG. 2, as the diameter D increases, the side part 22 becomes more and more outward bent and thus the force of the side part 22 on the edge 4 of the pot 2 always larger. The space 28 existing between the web-shaped part 19 with the side part 22 and the edge 4 is thereby becoming ever smaller.

In order to be able to insert the insert 3 gently and quickly into the pot 2 or to remove it, it has proven to be particularly advantageous to additionally provide the side parts 21-23 with outwardly directed end sections 29-31 (FIG. 1) which the side parts 21-23 can be pulled apart.

Fig. 3 shows an embodiment according to the prior art. In this case, a web-shaped part 32 connected to the ring 10 (FIG. 1) is positively placed around the bead-shaped edge 4 of the pot 2. The contour of the surface of the side part 33 facing the edge 4 essentially corresponds to the outer contour of the edge 4. As can be seen from FIG. 3, when the outer diameter of the edge 4 changes, the web-shaped part 32 either no longer fits onto the pot 2 or the insert is no longer firmly attached to it and may fall out of the pot when it is being handled. In both cases it is practically unusable.
