The innovation relates to a device for fastening wire mesh fences and the like according to the preamble of claim 1.

It is known to attach grids of this type to a pipe post using a clamping strip. For this purpose, the pipe posts are provided with openings at a vertical distance from one another into which round sleeves with internal threads are inserted. The insertion is done using a special tool.

The aim of the innovation is therefore to replace the well-known round sleeve, which is secured in the opening of a tubular post by shrinking, with a special sleeve which can be inserted into the opening of a tubular post without the need for special tools and which is also secured against falling out of the opening.

This problem is solved by the characterizing features in claim 1. Further advantageous developments of the innovation are the subject of the dependent claims.

The new device for attaching wire mesh fences and the like to tubular posts is shown in principle in an example design in the drawing figures.

The special sleeve 1 according to Fig. 1 and 2 has a polygonal outer contour 3, which is preferably hexagonal in the embodiment. It also has a support edge 2 in the head part and is equipped with an internal thread 4 in the foot part.

show the inner contour 8, while the lower opening 7 already shows a special sleeve 1 inserted into it. The inner contour 8, which makes the inserted special sleeve 1 twist-proof, is expediently always kept somewhat smaller in its dimensions than the dimensions of the outer contour 3 of the special sleeve 1. This measure requires the special sleeves to be inserted into the openings of the tubular post by exerting pressure, but at the same time has the advantage that the special sleeves are also secured against falling out.

The contours 8 and 3 of the openings 7 and the special sleeve 1, which are preferably hexagonal and fit together, can also be designed as square contours if necessary.

In Fig. 4, a mesh wire section 6 or 6* is shown in perspective in connection with a tubular post 5 and a strip 9. To attach the two mesh wire sections, which are to be regarded as the mesh joints of two fences, they are placed one above the other to rest on the tubular post 5; then the strip 9 with its openings 10 is placed over them to cover the special sleeves 1 in the tubular post 5. The strip 9 is then screwed to the tubular post using the screws 11, so that the mesh wire sections 6, 6' or the fence parts are held by a clamping effect.

The special sleeves are used to prevent twisting and ensure a high level of fastening quality for mesh fences and the like.
