Abstract

The invention relates to a tap for dispensing beverages, especially beer, which is composed of a compensator which is arranged in a tap casing which is provided with a tap outlet and takes the form of a body which is conical at one end and of a locking seal which can be actuated by means of an actuating device, for example a lever. The tap is characterised in that the compensator (4), which is provided with a through channel (6) for the beer, is incorporated into the beer pipe and/or the shaft with its conical end (5) in the direction of the front end of the tap casing (1), in which there is arranged, in order to form an annular clearance (9) for pressure equalisation and for opening and closing the tap, a spring-loaded (11) 2sealing and adjustment sleeve (10) which is provided with an appropriate conical cavity and can be slid by the actuating device, for example the lever (13), longitudinally onto the conical part of the compensator so it rests tightly against the said part and can be slid away from the latter in order to form the annular clearance. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a tap for serving beverages, in particular beer, consisting of a compensator arranged in a tap housing provided with a tap outlet, conical at one end and provided with a flow channel for the beer, the conical end of which is directed towards the front end of the tap housing is installed, and a closure seal which can be actuated via an actuating device, for example a lever.

Such a tap, which was known under the name "compensator tap" or "Korneliushahn", consists of a housing with an outlet and a rocker arm arranged thereon, which leads to a cock piston which actuates a foam nozzle.

In the rear end of the housing is a compensator for pressure regulation, which consists of a conical body at one end, which can be pushed more or less far into the housing by a regulating lever via a gear drive, whereby the flow depending on the position of the regulating lever is regulated.

The known tap has certain disadvantages in that it has to be removed when cleaning the beer line and possibly removing a cleaning sponge. In addition, the structure of the known tap is divided into two Beer extraction process, namely the regulation of the flow through the compensator and the opening of the seal for the outlet of the beer, is relatively complicated.

From GB-A-1 339 976 a tap of the type mentioned has become known, in which the compensator provided with a flow channel for the beer is installed in the beer line or the bar with its conical end in the direction of the front end of the tap housing. A sleeve provided with a corresponding conical cavity is arranged in the journal housing to form an annular gap for pressure compensation. In the known tap, it is closed by means of a sealing piston which can be pushed into the beer line and which is pressed into the opening of the beer line by means of a spring. By means of a lever, the piston can be moved back against the spring pressure when the tap is opened, so that the beer can flow freely into the conical annular gap and to the outflow opening.

In this known tap, however, an additional sealing piston is required, which must be installed in the housing. In addition, it is not readily possible with the previously known tap to use a cleaning device, for example a cleaning sponge flowing through the beer line, since this cannot be removed from the front.

Furthermore, in the known tap the sleeve with its conical cavity can be moved against the body which is conically shaped at the front end and serves as a compensator and has a central bore for the beverage.

The present invention has for its object to provide a tap of the type mentioned, which is much simpler in construction and with which it is possible to remove the cleaning liquid and any cleaning sponges without complicated removal of the tap.

To solve the problem, a tap according to claim 1 is proposed.

With the tap according to the invention the main advantage is achieved that the compensator is a fixed part of the beer line due to the special installation and does not require an additional drive. The formation of the annular gap required for the pressure reduction takes place by the push-on and retractable sealing and adjusting sleeve, which thus simultaneously serves as a tight seal for the tap. Closure seal and annular gap formation for the tap are thus fixed in one unit.

The invention also achieves the essential advantage that cleaning sponges and cleaning fluid can be discharged directly to the front, since it is only necessary to remove the compensation sealing sleeve from the tap housing.

With reference to the drawings, the tap according to the invention will be explained in more detail using the example of a preferred embodiment.

  • Fig. 2
shows a basic sectional drawing of the closed tap according to FIG. 1.
  • 3 and 4

As can be seen from the figures of the drawing, the tap according to the invention has a compensator 4 provided with a flow channel 6 for the beer, which is installed in the beer line or the sheep with its conical end 5 in the direction of the front end of the tap housing 1 is. The tap housing 1 has a front, removable and sliding on the compensator 4 compensation sealing sleeve 22 with a tap outlet 23. The compensation sealing sleeve 22 has a conical cavity, which in the closed state is pressed tightly against the conical end 26 of the compensator 4 by the pressure of a spring 25 resting against a fixed stop 24.

In the open state of the tap, the tap lever 27 is moved in the direction of the front end of the compensation sealing sleeve 22. An internal guide 28 for a pivotably mounted lever 29 is provided in the handle of the pivot lever 27. The lever 29 bears with its lower end 30 against an adjustable curve contour 31. By sliding on this curve contour, as can be seen from Fig. 1, the tap housing 1 is moved forward with the compensation sealing sleeve, so that an annular gap 9 is opened, which widens conically at a constant annular gap thickness to the rear part of the tap. The beer flows from the beverage line through the central bore 6 in the fixed compensator 4 and then on its front side in its outer annular gap 9. The compensator has a material thinner 32 at the front, conical end, so that a partially hollow cylindrical low pressure chamber 33 is formed in which the beer flows in without pressure and runs from there into the tap outlet 23.

The ring gap is opened according to the lever angle. The translation between the lever position and the width of the annular gap 9 takes place through the curved contour 31. A larger angle on the tap lever means a wider annular gap, which in turn leads to a larger volume flow at a given delivery pressure.

The volume flow can be reduced or increased by adjusting the adjusting nut. If the dispensing lever is in the end position (Fig. 1) brought, it is locked, and the beer flows continuously from the tap.

Das gleiche gilt für die Kompensationsdichthülse 22.The dismantling of the tap is very simple, as can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4. The compensation sealing sleeve 22 is turned 90 degrees to the left and pulled off to the front. Since the tap in the beverage area consists of only two parts, it is not necessary to dismantle the tap for cleaning. The cleaning of the exposed compensator 4 can be done with a brush or sponge. The same applies to the compensation sealing sleeve 22.

The tap according to the invention is not only suitable for drinks, but for liquids of all kinds, in particular also for taking samples.
