Abstract

The packaging (100) is set up for receiving the hinge elements (5,6,7,8,9) for more than one leaf of doors, windows and the like and comprises at least two flat drawers of rectangular contour and equal size which receive the leaf hinge parts (5), the frame hinge parts (6) and elements such as covering elements (7), hinge pins (8) and attachment screws (9), in a regular arrangement in one layer. The drawers (10,20,30) are provided in the same arrangement directly one above the other in a cuboid cardboard wrapping (40) so that they can be pulled out and pushed in in the same sliding direction (1), said cardboard wrapping being closed in the circumferential direction (2) relative to the sliding direction (1) but openable at an end face (4) corresponding to the sliding direction (1). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to packaging of the type corresponding to the preamble of claim 1.

Until now it was common to pack the hinges intended for one wing in a separate box. Since these tapes have a valuable surface, care must be taken that the parts do not collide and damage the surface during transport. In addition, each box had to be accompanied by its own installation instructions, which spanned several pages and were written in a number of languages, so that they formed a small booklet. In many cases the tapes were even packed individually, i.e. two or three individual boxes per wing were required.

The effort for this packaging and the provision of a large number of installation instructions was considerable. The same applies to the amount of packaging waste generated when the tapes are installed.

The invention has for its object to reduce the packaging effort for the hinges of doors, windows and the like.

This object is achieved by the invention reproduced in claim 1.

So it is no longer only the two hinges intended for one wing that are packaged in their own own installation instructions, but a larger number, i.e. a number of hinges intended for several sashes, is accommodated in larger packaging, which also only includes installation instructions. This significantly reduces the total amount of cardboard. Due to the single-layer arrangement in flat drawers, which can be pulled out like a drawer, the band elements are accessible at all times.

The individual drawers have grid-like subdivisions, in each of which a hinge part or a group of fastening screws or hinge pins are arranged. This prevents the band elements from falling apart during transport in the individual drawers and in particular damaging the band parts by bumping against one another.

Because of the favorable ratio of stability to weight and because of the easier disposal, the carton, drawers and dividers are made of corrugated cardboard.

Cartons with individual drawers are known for other packaging goods.

US-A-3 519 123 shows such a packaging for cotton swabs for cosmetic or medical purposes, in which several drawers corresponding to the outer carton are arranged one above the other in the plan, but no compartments for the individual cotton swabs are formed in the drawers, but only transversely there are support strips running to the cotton swabs with recesses for the individual cotton swabs.

US-A-4 436 243 is a packaging for storing glass jars containing medical preparations and the like. Although the individual outer cartons can be stacked on top of each other, the drawers do not extend over the entire outline of the outer carton. The drawers also do not contain any grid-like subdivisions for the individual packaged elements.

GB-A-1324 relates to a multi-batch candy sales box. The outer carton has a lid that can be opened upwards. After opening, the front side can be folded down and the individual drawers can be pulled out more or less to make the sweets visible close. There are no subdivisions in the individual batches.

Grid-like subdivisions for drawers and the like can be seen separately from EP 412 553 A2 and US-A-4 065 021.

The feature of claim 2 compared to the conventional packaging results in a considerable saving in enclosed, printed material.

It has been shown that the packaging is of a practical size if, according to claim 3, the drawers are arranged to accommodate three times eight elements each.

This results in a sufficiently large number of twenty-four elements for the noticeable reduction in packaging expenditure, while at the same time the weight of the filled packaging, when the usual strips of aluminum alloy are taken up, still results in a unit which is sufficiently easy to handle. Twenty-four elements also have the advantage that processors who see two bands per wing get along "evenly" as processors who use three bands per wing.

The package, designated as a whole by 100, comprises two flat drawers 10, 20 of the same size, rectangular plan, which are located one above the other in a cardboard box 40 and can be pulled out like a drawer from the cardboard box 40 in the sliding direction 1 and inserted into the cardboard box 40. The outer carton 40 is closed in the “circumferential direction” 2, which is seen as an axis with respect to the sliding direction, and on the one end face 3 located in the sliding direction 1. The outer carton 40 can be opened on the other end face 4 in the sliding direction 1, whereupon the drawers 10, 20 can be pulled out like a drawer.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the packaging 100 is provided for receiving the elements for twenty-four bands 30, one of which is shown in the assembled state in FIG. 2. In the drawer 10 three times eight wing hinge parts 5 are accommodated, in the drawer 20 three times eight frame hinge parts 6, cover elements 7 for the adjustment mechanism of the wing hinge parts 5, the hinge pin bolts 8 and the fastening screws 9. Of the wing hinge parts 5 and the frame hinge parts 6 are only some drawn. As indicated by dash-dotted lines, the other relevant subjects are usually filled with it.

The drawers 10, 20 contain subdivisions 11 made of slotted cardboard webs, which are put together crosswise to form a rectangular grid, so that there is a separate compartment for each band part 5, 6, which prevents contact and the parts regardless of the transport position of the packaging 100 in place and Job holds.

For the twenty-four belts 30, only a single installation instruction 12 is required, which is placed on the top drawer 20.

The drawers 10, 20, the outer box 40 and the partitions 11 consist of corrugated cardboard. Plastic is no longer required with this type of packaging.

Claims (3)

1. Packaging of hinges for doors, windows and the like with a carton for receiving hinge elements such as door or window hinge components (5), frame hinge components (6) and covering elements (7) as well as attachment screws (9),
      characterised in that
   the packaging (100) includes at least two flat drawers (10, 20) having the same rectangular outline for receiving the hinge elements for more than one hinge, each in a single layer in a regular pattern as well as the attachment screws (9) between grid-like dividers (11) with a separate compartment for each hinge element (5, 6, 7),

   that the drawers (10, 20) are provided so as to be withdrawable and insertable in a rectangular enclosing carton in a corresponding arrangement directly one above the other in the same direction of sliding (1), the drawers extending over the same overall outline as the carton,

   that the surrounding carton (40) is closed in a circumferential direction (2) with reference to the direction of sliding (1) but is open at one of the end faces (4) in relation to the direction of sliding (1)

   and that the drawers (10, 20), the enclosing carton (40) and the grid-like compartment divisions (11) are made of corrugated cardboard.
2. Packaging according to claim 1, characterised in that the packaging (100) is accompanied by a single set of installation instructions (12).
3. Packaging according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the drawers (10, 20 ) are each designed to receive respectively three by eight hinge elements (5, 6, 7,).
