Claims (7)

  1. A strap, in particular a strap for a wrist watch, comprised of a succession of central links (3), intermediate links (2) and lateral links (1), in which each central link (3) has at each one of its ends and situated on the two sides of the longitudinal axis of the strap, two linkage members (13) extending freely through a separate intermediate link (2) and of which the ends (16) situated on the same side of the central link (3) are connected to a lateral link (1); characterized in that the linkage members (13) are mounted rotatably, while having a fixed axial position, on the central links (3); in that each lateral link (1) includes a blind housing (17) opening on its internal face; in that the housing (17) receives, on the one hand, the ends (16) of the two linkage members (13) of a central link (3) and, on the other hand, a fastening device (19 to 22) which holds said ends (16) to the central link (1) while authorising their relative rotation.
  2. A strap according to claim 1, characterized in that the fastening device (19 to 22) includes a saddle (19) having two hooks (20) engaged into grooves provided on the ends (16) of the linkage members (13); and in that a screw (21) extending through tile lower face of the lateral link (1) is screwed into a threaded hole (22) of the saddle (19), thus setting the axial operative position of the linkage members (13) with respect to the lateral link (1).
  3. A strap according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the intermediate links (2) have two holes (15) allowing the passage of the linkage members (13) of two adjoining central links (3).
  4. A strap according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the central links (3) have a tubular body (23) and two end plates (24) closing the ends of the body (23), these end plates (24) having bores (26) for the passage of two shafts (27) of which the ends (13) protruding laterally from the end plates (24) provide said linkage members.
  5. A strap according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the central links (3) have a cylindrical or a polygonal body (4) having an axial through bore of which the ends are each one blocked by an end plate (5, 6); in that the two end plates (5, 6) have bores (9) with counterbores of a larger diameter on the inner face adjoining the body (4) and in that a screw (18) connects the two end plates (5, 6) and extends through the body (4).
  6. A strap according to claim 5, characterized in that each central link (3) has four pivots (13) protruding from the end plates (5, 6) and captured therein by a head (10, 14) housed in the corresponding counterbore, these pivots (5, 6) forming the linkage members extending through two intermediate links (2) adjoining, and linked to a lateral link (1).
  7. A strap according to one of claims 5 or 6, characterized in that the central link (3) is made of precious or semi-precious stone and in that it is prestressed axially by means of the end plates (5, 6) and of the screw (18).
