Definitions
- the invention relates to a dental instrument storage table which, in addition to a storage area for instruments, contains holding means for hose- and cable-bound handpieces as well as handling means with which a change in position of the instrument storage table can be brought about.
- Such a dental instrument storage table is known from DE-A-2 657 675.
- the third functional area is the handling means with which a change in position of the instrument storage table can be brought about. If an instrument storage table can be moved mechanically, these are generally one or more handles or handle-like structures which are provided at a suitable point on the instrument storage table.
- the invention specified in claim 1 is based on the object of achieving an improvement and providing a solution which is relatively easy to handle for the user and which enables the instrument storage table to be kept clean in terms of the required hygiene (cleaning and / or disinfection and / or sterilization), without the need for additional material that can be disposed of.
- FIG. 1 shows a graphical representation of a dental instrument storage table which, in addition to a storage area 1 for instruments (hand instruments, materials, etc.), contains a plurality of holding means 2 for hose- and cable-bound handpieces 3, which on a plane in front of the horizontal horizontal storage area 1 obliquely inclined surface 4 are arranged.
- the instrument storage table contains a base body 6 mounted on a carrier 5, on which, as will be explained in more detail below, a housing cover part 7 is placed, which carries the storage surface 1, the inclined surface 4 with the holding means 2 for the instruments 3 and handles 8 arranged on both sides .
- the carrier 5 can be designed in a known manner as a floor or wall stand, as well as a single or multi-arm swivel arm.
- FIG. 2 shows the base body 6 and the housing cover part 7 in a separated state with the handpieces omitted.
- the base body 6, which accommodates various control and regulating parts for the handpieces in its interior in a known manner and is therefore designed as a hollow body, is closed at least on the sides and on the top side.
- two spring elements 11 are provided which press against the underside of the section 7a of the housing cover part 7 which includes the storage surface 1 (FIGS. 3 and 4).
- the section 7b of the housing cover part 7 which contains the inclined surface 4 contains, as can be seen from FIG. 5, an edge part 12 which cooperates with a latching hook 13 which is supported on the base body 6 such that it can be moved by means of a compression spring 14.
- Edge part 12 and locking hook 13 are arranged and designed so that the two parts come into engagement with one another when the housing cover part 7 is placed on the base body 6.
- the compression spring ensures that the housing cover part 7 is pressed non-positively against the base body 6 in this latching position.
- a handle 15, which is an integral part of the locking hook, is used to unlock this clamping position. It can be unlocked with one hand by pulling the handle slightly forward in the direction of the arrow. It is essential that the handle does not need to be touched when the (cleaned, disinfected or sterilized) housing cover part is replaced.
- the housing cover part 7 shown here in cross section, engages over the base body 6 on both sides, which provides some protection for the base body 6 against aerosol precipitation (which is also generally contaminated with germs). As can be seen from FIG. 2, this widening of the housing cover part 7 is also present in the front area.
- the underside of the overlapping part of the housing cover part 7 is preferably provided on both sides with recessed grips 16 which facilitate the removal of the housing cover part 7.
- the holding means for the handpieces are designed as storage quivers. Their walls 17 are at least as far as they can be contaminated with germs by removing and re-depositing the instruments, an integral part of the housing cover part 7.
- the sensors provided for controlling the drives of the handpieces are expediently not in the housing cover part 7 , but in Base body 6 arranged in a known manner. In Figures 2 and 3, the corresponding positions are marked with the position 18.
- the housing cover part 7 is thus free of electrical or electronic components.
- This component consists of a material which is at least resistant to the usual cleaning agents and / or disinfectants and possibly sterilizing agents, e.g. made of melamine resin or glass.

Description
The invention relates to a dental instrument storage table which, in addition to a storage area for instruments, contains holding means for hose- and cable-bound handpieces as well as handling means with which a change in position of the instrument storage table can be brought about.
Such a dental instrument storage table is known from DE-A-2 657 675.
There are primarily three functional areas of dental instrument storage tables that are practically constantly exposed to contamination with germs and are therefore particularly critical from a hygienic point of view. On the one hand, there are the storage and storage areas for instruments (hand instruments, materials, instrument trays), and on the other hand, there are the holding devices for the hose- and cable-bound handpieces, which can be contaminated with germs when using the instruments. The third functional area is the handling means with which a change in position of the instrument storage table can be brought about. If an instrument storage table can be moved mechanically, these are generally one or more handles or handle-like structures which are provided at a suitable point on the instrument storage table. In order to meet the hygiene requirements, it has already started to arrange the handles detachably or to provide them with a one-time cover. Apart from the fact that with the former proposal only a part of the hygiene problem can be solved, disposable covers as well as other disposable materials, such as paper napkins, which can be placed on the shelf for the instruments, represent an additionally required material, which is the latter in the latter Time has always increased growing garbage even further.
The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the object of achieving an improvement and providing a solution which is relatively easy to handle for the user and which enables the instrument storage table to be kept clean in terms of the required hygiene (cleaning and / or disinfection and / or sterilization), without the need for additional material that can be disposed of.
Characterized in that according to the invention at least two, preferably all three, sections of the critical functional areas of the instrument storage table are combined to form a unit that is easily removable on the instrument storage table, it is relatively easy for the user to use these areas within the scope of the available Ways to keep it hygienically clean. The entire assembly can be removed from the other parts of the instrument storage table, e.g. completely cleaned, disinfected and, if necessary, sterilized in a washing or disinfection facility.
Further advantages result from the subclaims and the description below.

Der Träger 5 kann in bekannter Weise als Boden- oder Wandstativ, ebenso als ein- oder mehrarmiger Schwenkarm ausgebildet sein.FIG. 1 shows a graphical representation of a dental instrument storage table which, in addition to a storage area 1 for instruments (hand instruments, materials, etc.), contains a plurality of
The
As can be seen from FIG. 4, the
The underside of the overlapping part of the
In the illustrated embodiment, the holding means for the handpieces are designed as storage quivers. Their
Although it is conceivable to remove the
