Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Aufbringen eines quer zur Bahnlängsrichtung verlaufenden Leimstreifens auf eine Bahn, insbesondere eine bedruckte Papierbahn, mit einem mit entlang wenigstens einer Mantellinie angeordneten Leimdüsen versehenen Leimzylinder, der auf der ihn vorzugsweise teilweise umschlingenden Bahn abrollt.The invention relates to a device for applying a glue strip running transversely to the longitudinal direction of the web on a web, in particular a printed paper web, with a glue cylinder provided with glue nozzles arranged along at least one surface line, which rolls on the web, which preferably wraps partially around it.
Die Erfahrung hat gezeigt, daß es beim Abziehen der Bahn vom Leimzylinder zu einer Teilung der vorhandenen Leimpunkte kommt, wobei ein Teil als Leimauftrag auf der Bahn verbleibt, ein anderer Teil am Rand der Düsenöffnungen zurückbleibt und ein weiterer Teil in Form kleiner Tröpfchen abgeschleudert wird. Es besteht daher die Gefahr, daß es zu Leimauftragfehlern und dementsprechend zu Ausschußproduktion kommen kann. Dies ist in erster Linie darauf zurückzuführen, daß sich auf dem Leimzylinder die Düsenöffnungen umfassende Leimpfützen bilden, die einen unexakten, schlierenhaften Leimauftrag ergeben, und daß die abspritzenden Leimtropfen, die mit zunehmendem Leimaufbau auf dem Leimzylinder immer größer werden, die Bahn und/oder den Leimzylinder verschmutzen. Hinzu kommt, daß der Leimauftrag eine gewisse Zeit erfordert und daß deshalb die Bahn verhältnismäßig lange in Kontakt mit dem Leimzylinder gehalten werden muß, was im Falle einer frisch bedruckten Bahn dazu führen kann, daß Farbe auf dem Leimzylinder abgelegt wird, was zu einer weiteren Verschmutzung des Leimzylinders und dementsprechend auch der Bahn führen kann.Experience has shown that when the web is pulled off the glue cylinder, there is a division of the existing glue points, one part remaining on the web as a glue application, another part remaining at the edge of the nozzle openings and another part being thrown off in the form of small droplets. Infolge des Saugvermögens des Wischtuchs ist zu-dem sichergestellt, daß der von diesem aufgenommene Leim auch bei starker Beaufschlagung gehalten wird und dennoch ein geringer Tuchverbrauch gewährleistet ist. Ein weiterer, ganz besonderer Vorteil der erfindungsgemäßen Maßnahmen ist darin zu sehen, daß das Wischtuch auch die einfache Möglichkeit bietet, den Leimzylinder zu befeuchten, womit nicht nur angetrocknete Leimrückstände aufgelöst werden können, sondern auch einem Ablegen von Farbe auf dem Leimzylinder von Anfang an entgegen gewirkt werden kann. Gleichzeitig ergibt sich hierdurch eine Befeuchtung der Bahn, was einen nachfolgenden Falzvorgang erleichtern kann. Im Bereich zwischen dem Andrückorgan 11 und der Speicherrolle 9 ergibt sich somit ein in Richtung des Strangs 2a ausgeknickter Verlauf, das heißt ein in den Zwickel zwischen dem Leimzylinder 4 und dem von diesem ablaufenden Strang 2a eingreifender Verlauf des Ablauftrumms 10a des Wischtuchs. Dieses wischt daher nicht nur Verunreinigungen in Form von bei 13 angedeuteten Leimklecksen vom Umfang des Leimzylinders 4 ab, sondern kann auch insbesondere im Bereich des Ablaufs des Strangs 2a vom Leimzylinder 4 tangential abspritzende Leimtröpfchen 14 auffangen. Das Wischtuch 10 ist im dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel vor seinem Auflauf auf das zugeordnete Andrückorgan 11 und dementsprechend vor der Kontaktstelle mit dem Leimzylinder 4 mit Wasser oder einem bei Offsetmaschinen üblichen Feuchtmittel befeuchtbar. Hierzu ist ein das Wischtuch 10 im Bereich zwischen der Vorratsrolle 8 und dem Andrückorgan 11 hintergreifender Düsenbalken 16 vorgesehen, der mit mehreren, über seiner Länge verteilten Sprühdüsen 17 versehen ist. Die Düsen 17 sind im dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel mit einem im Düsenbalken 16 vorgesehenen Sammelraum verbunden, der mit Flüssigkeit gefüllt und zur Befeuchtung des Wischtuchs 10 an eine Druckluftquelle angeschlossen wird, wobei die vorhandene Flüssigkeitsfüllung über die Düsen 17 ausgeblasen wird. Die Düsen 17 sind in den Zwickel zwischen dem Andrückorgan 11 und dem auf dieses auflaufenden Wischtuch 10 gerichtet, so daß auch eine Nachführung von Feuchtmittel während des Wischvorgangs möglich ist. Überlichweise erfolgt die Befeuchtung des Wischtuchs während oder kurz vor einem Transportschritt. Zwischen zwei Transportschritten ist nur in besonderen Fällen eine weitere Feuchtmittelzufuhr erforderlich. Um das Feuchtmittel gezielt dem Wischtuch 10 zuzuführen, sind die Düsen 17 von einem Schutzblech 18 unterfaßt, das eine etwa oberhalb der Kontaktstelle zwischen Leimzylinder 4 und Andrückorgan 11 sich befindende Tropfkante aufweist.In the exemplary embodiment shown, the

- A device for applying an adhesive strip extending at right angles to the longitudinal direction to a web, in particular a printed paper web, having a sizing cylinder (4), provided with sizing nozzles (6) disposed along at least one surface line, which rolls on the web and having a cleaning device for the sizing cylinder,
characterised in that the cleaning device comprises a wiping cloth (10) guided by a delivery roller (8) to a storage roller (9), a pressure member (11) for forcing the wiping cloth (10) against the sizing cylinder (4) is disposed between the rollers (8, 9) in the nip between the sizing cylinder (4) and the web (2a) running therefrom,

characterised in that the wiping cloth (10) running from the sizing cylinder (4) and the web (2a) running from the sizing cylinder (4) are conveyed away via guide members (12 and 15 respectively) adjacent to one another on the circumference of the sizing cylinder (4). - A device according to one of the preceding Claims,
