Claims (8)

  1. A suspension frame for an article of furniture of use as a chair or recliner, said frame being adapted to rock and comprising a support member (13) which is connected to the chair or recliner surface and which, on both sides of said surface, is connected to a base member (1) via swing wires (5, 6, 11), two swing wires (5, 6) engaging the support member (13) on each side and the support member (9) being suspended by way of support member swing wires (11) from an intermediate member (9) which is in turn suspended from the base member (1), characterised in that the intermediate member (9) is suspended from the base member (1) by means of two spaced-apart intermediate member swing wires (5, 6).
  2. A suspension frame according to claim 1,
    characterised in that the projections of the support member swing wires (11) and intermediate member swing wires (5, 6) in the plane of the chair or recliner surface form a triangle.
  3. A suspension frame according to claim 2,
    characterised in that the two intermediate member swing wires (5, 6) are in alignment in the longitudinal direction of the recliner surface.
  4. A suspension frame according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the two intermediate member swing wires (5, 6) are connected at their bottom end to a connecting web (8) on which the intermediate member (9) is in turn fixed.
  5. A suspension frame according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the base member (1) consists of two vertical trapezoidal frames (2) connected by cross-members (3) which extend transversely of the chair or recliner surface and which preferably extend to two opposite corner points of the trapezoidal frames (2).
  6. A suspension frame for an article of furniture intended as a chair, said frame being adapted to rock and consisting of a support connected to the chair surface and, on both sides of the chair surface, to a base member (26) via Swing wires (24), characterised in that the Support consists of two support members (22a, 22b) which extend from one side of a chair surface to the other, engage spaced swing wires (24) at right angles thereto, said wires being connected at the top end to a connecting member (25), and the base member (16) extends between the swing wires (24) with an upward curvature to the connecting member (25) and is connected to the latter.
  7. A suspension frame according to claim 6,
    characterised in that the base member (26) has at its ends a cross-member (23) extending at right angles thereto and the swing wires (24) engage said cross-member.
  8. A suspension frame according to claim 6 or 7,
    characterised in that two or more swing wires (24) connected in cascade and having intermediate members are disposed between the connecting member (25) and the support members (22a, 22b).
