Abstract

A method for producing a high-resistance fire door presenting an integrated resistant construction is characterized in that a filler mass is cast together with the reinforcement frame of the door leaf required in a mould corresponding to the size of the door so as to obtain a plane surface as a single unit.

Claims (4)

1. A method of producing a fire door with a strong, integral construction, in which a moulding compound is cast together with the required door leaf reinforcing frame (8-11) in a mould (1-4) corresponding to the required door dimensions to obtain a definite, planarform, characterised in that the molding compound is an insulating material and comprises a thixotropic calcium silicate mixture such that as a result of a hydrothermal process it hardens with the reinforcing frame to form an insulating panel of definite shape and forms a non- combustible calcium silicate steel union therewith and, in addition, has high mechanical strength and good thermal and sound insulation properties.
2. A method according to claim 1, characterised in that a mould (1-4) is used comprising a flat base (4) arid, situated thereon, hinge side (8) and lock side (9) frame portions (8,9) which enclose the upper and lower door leaf reinforcing frame portions (10, 11) and which are surrounded by a mould frame (1-3).
3. A method according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that within the door leaf reinforcing frame (8-11) an insulating inner reinforcement (13) is provided inside the door leaf formed during moulding.
4. A method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that a mould (1-4) is used which is adjustable in accordance with the required door dimensions.
