- This special angular design results in a housing shape that is tailored to the average normal auditory canal of a hearing impaired person. This housing automatically fits into almost all fairly normal ear canals. The individual rest adjustment now only needs to be carried out with the aid of an otoplastic 11. Special adjustments of a housing to the ear canal of an individual ear are no longer necessary.
- the largest diameter of the flat end 27 of the housing 2 is also shown with D1.
- the two diameters D1 and D2 are selected so that the smaller diameter D2 is less than half the larger diameter D1.
- the proximal, thinner tail part 26 is thus considerably thinner than the distal, beaded head part 25 of the housing 2 of the hearing aid module 1.
- the otoplastic 11 formed from the outer shell 14 and otoplastic material 15 can be relatively thick with these dimensions of the housing 2. However, this enables the problem-free subsequent incorporation of an arbitrarily shaped ventilation duct 24.
- FIG. 5 shows the curved end plate 5 which can be placed on the flat end 27 of the housing 2.
- the end plate 5 comprises 2 locking grooves 32 for fastening in the flat end 27 of the housing, into which the catches 29 of the housing 1 engage. The end plate is thereby held securely on the flat end 27 of the housing 2.
- the curvature 33 of the end plate 5 is round on all sides. There are therefore no corners or edges which could appear cosmetically disruptive after inserting the finished hearing aid into the ear canal of a hearing impaired person.
