Abstract

Laminates of paper or board which are especially suited for use as decorative or protective wrapping or packaging, labels or cartons, are made by laminating to the paper or board a mono- or multi-layer coextruded film of thickness 6 to 12 microns and comprised of biaxially oriented polypropylene each surface of which is either glossy or matt and is metallised with aluminium to a thickness of 100 to 500Å.
