Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Sicherheitsüberzug für Leitplanken. The invention relates to a safety cover for guardrails.
Guardrails serve to locally and visually limit the roadway of motor vehicles. Safety covers for guardrails improve the visual perception of the width and direction of the road and are therefore an instrument of optical traffic management.
From the documents FR-A-2 416 303 and FR-A-451 606, safety covers for guardrails are known as dirt-repellent, light-reflecting roadway signaling devices, which have means for attaching to the guardrail and have an outstanding side of the safety cover on their side facing the roadway Overall aspect have different, preferably color reflecting, signal area. It is also known that the signal surface can be covered with reflective graphic characters.
The present invention is based on the object of improving or supplementing the optical traffic management function of the crash barriers.
With a suitable design and arrangement of the safety cover elements, it is possible to exert an increased influence on traffic by optimizing the position of the reflecting signal areas and giving the vehicle driver the impression of vehicle acceleration in front of and in the bends. Furthermore, by appropriately covering the safety cover elements with reflective graphic signs, the aim is to warn the driver of the vehicle against mistaken use of the lane in oncoming traffic, and thus to inform him not only about the direction of the lane but about the applicable direction of travel.
The solution to these problems is solved by the characterizing features of
The invention accordingly offers the possibility of influencing the speed of local traffic, for example in front of bends, intersections and other danger points, by attaching safety covering elements to the guardrails in places, and by increasing and shorter distances between the successive safety covering elements, which give the driver the impression of increasing impression Convey vehicle acceleration.
In addition, the same security cover elements can also carry other signals, for example to warn potential ghost drivers who have accidentally got onto motorways and are scattering their vehicle against the permissible direction of travel.
The safety cover according to the invention can be manufactured in elements of a handy length. It is expedient to use a weather-resistant, inexpensive plastic, such as suitable thermoplastics, which can advantageously be colored bright, especially white.
In addition to the good light reflection caused by light or white color, special zones of the safety covering element, e.g. as a signal surface, there is an intensive reflection of light, which can significantly promote the distinction of the guardrail from its optical background. Such a zone can be embedded in the plastic, which promotes durability. This intensification of light reflection can be achieved by known means such as glass balls, triple mirrors, etc.
A preferred embodiment of the safety cover element is particularly well suited for the most common guardrail shape made of steel, with two protrusions arranged one above the other on the roadway side, because they act on the Guardrail snap-on plastic body is economically feasible and mountable. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing which represents only one embodiment.
It shows:
- Figure 1.
- a safety cover element from the permissible direction of travel,
- Figure 2.
- the same safety cover element from the impermissible direction of travel,
- Figure 3.
- the arrangement of the safety elements of the left-hand guardrail of a motorway exit from the driver's perspective,
- Figure 4.
- the arrangement of the security elements of the right-hand guardrail of a motorway exit from the perspective of a ghost driver.
The safety covering
FIGS. 3 and 4 illustrate the arrangement of the
Since this is a danger point, the distance between the successive safety covering elements is reduced to simulate the driver's increasing speed. In the present perspective representation, this is evident from the fact that the distances between the guardrail support posts can be regarded as constant.
Die Figur 4 zeigt die rechte Seite der Autobahnausfahrt mit Sicherheitsüberzugselementen 1 gemäss Figur 2 von Leitplanken 11 aus der Perspektive eines Geisterfahrers, wobei die Signalflächen 10 mit Einbahnzeichen belegt sind um den Fahrzeuglenker auf seinen folgenschweren Fahrfehler aufmerksam zu machen.FIG. 4 shows the right side of the motorway exit with
