Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Sicherheitsüberzug für Leitplanken. The invention relates to a safety cover for guardrails.
Guardrails are, as is well known, guiding devices which extend along the side of the carriageway and are essentially vertical, which prevent a vehicle from striking the carriageway and at the same time serve as visual traffic guidance. They are currently predominantly made of steel, with a shape having an average of two road-side protrusions arranged one above the other between their longitudinal edges being particularly common.
These guardrails can often only fulfill their optical function for a short period of time because they will soon only emit little light due to dirt and weathering. In any case, they have a monotonous appearance if they are visible or so little visually noticeable that accidents are promoted as a result of the lack of visual appearance of the crash barriers.
The invention has for its object to improve or supplement the optical traffic management function of the crash barriers in an economically advantageous manner.
To solve this problem, a safety cover according to
The safety cover according to the invention can be manufactured in elements of a handy length.
A security covering according to the invention can be placed in sections on old or new guardrails, whereby it can improve or change the local light reflection properties. This allows good visibility to be achieved without the risk of confusion.
It is expedient to use a weather-resistant, inexpensive plastic, such as suitable thermoplastics, which can advantageously be colored bright, especially white.
Plastic bodies that are elastically deformable to the extent that they can be snapped onto the guardrail from the road side are particularly easy to attach.
In addition to the good light reflection caused by the bright or white color, intensive reflection of light can take place in special zones, which can significantly promote the distinction of the guardrail from its optical background. For this purpose one can e.g. Provide a particularly intense and / or color-reflective zone in the middle of a safety cover element. Such a zone can be embedded in the plastic, which promotes durability. This intensification of light reflection can be achieved by known means such as glass balls, triple mirrors, etc.
The safety cover is particularly suitable for the most common guardrail shape mentioned at the beginning, because it can exert its effect excellently and its shape is economically feasible.
The invention accordingly offers the possibility, at least in places, of optical safety guidance by attaching safety covering elements according to the invention on guardrails to make it more distinctive. The safety cover elements can not only be particularly dirt-repellent and weather-resistant, but can also be more accessible for cleaning and / or replacement than the crash barriers themselves.
Appropriate color and other design of the safety cover can further influence traffic, e.g. by attaching ever shorter elements at ever shorter distances, to simulate increasing speed in front of curves, intersections and other danger spots, or other signals, e.g. to warn of ghost drivers who have accidentally got onto motorways and steer their vehicle against the permitted direction of travel.

The
In the middle of the
The safety barriers on both sides each have three safety covers, each with two
Finally, FIG. 3 shows a single safety covering
