Kaltsiegelbare Folien lassen sich zwar bis zu einem gewissen Grad von Hand verschliessen, jedoch nur unter Anwendung von verhältnismäßig hohem Druck und nur durch Gegeneinanderpressen zweier kaltsiegelbar beschichteter Flächen. Den Kaltsiegelbeschichtungen haftet außerdem der Nachteil an, daß sie leicht klebrig sind und deshalb nicht mit jedem beliebigen Füllgut in Kontakt gebracht werden können, z.B. nicht mit stäubenden Gütern.Cold-sealable or heat-sealable multilayer films, which serve as sealing membranes for containers or can even be formed into containers, are already known.
