Definitions

  • the invention relates to a packaging for liquids, consisting of side walls connected to one another via at least one longitudinal sealing seam and attached to the ends of the tube, a cover with a round cross section and a square bottom end walls, the side walls being formed from cardboard coated at least on one side with plastic , while the lid is made of thermoplastic material without a backing material and is attached along its outer edge to the side walls, and whereby starting from the four corners of the bottom, shape transition folding lines are arranged in the tube, which extend from the bottom over 1/3 to 2/3 of the height of the Tube are arranged running towards the lid.
  • parallelepipedic packs which consist of a tube made of plastic material coated on both sides, which is closed at its ends in the area of the end walls by cross-sealing ribs and brought into a parallelepiped shape, so that there are two opposite, double-walled triangular flaps on each end wall, which first protrude outward from the end walls of the pack and are finally folded over against adjacent side walls or the end walls of the pack.
  • a liquid pack of the type described at the outset is already known from European document EP-A-052 261.
  • the packaging described there does indeed have shape transition fold lines in order to form a good transition from the square bottom to the round lid.
  • the shape transition folding lines are also favorable because they specify a rounding of the material in cross-section during manufacture by means of an embossing stamp, with the result that the material can be pulled apart transversely to such a rounded embossing (straight line), the material acting like a spring .
  • the shape transition fold lines also provide for the accumulation of material around these lines, thereby shortening the material in the direction transverse to these fold lines without damaging the material.
  • the known packaging can not be gripped very well by the user, because after opening the thumb of the hand of the user, for example, who grabs the pack for pouring out, can very easily cause a dent in the side wall with the disadvantage that filling material, e.g. B. milk or juice, is pressed out prematurely.
  • filling material e.g. B. milk or juice
  • an exact guidance for pouring out the liquid cannot be guaranteed.
  • GB-A-1 243 812 also discloses an ice cream bowl with a square base and a round opening at the top, which is formed from a blank with two wall panels which are connected to one another along a fold line. This fold line also extends over the entire height of the ice cream cup from its bottom to the top edge, but would be omitted by the expert immediately if a different cut was used to produce the cup, for example one from a piece without the symmetrical division into two wall parts, as there described.
  • the known pack On the side opposite this hinge edge, has an adhesive flap which corresponds to the longitudinal sealing seam in the sense of the present invention.
  • the latter known package has not a bottom formed by triangular flaps and therefore special - DERS is reliably produced and dense.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to create an even more stable, stable and easy-to-grasp pack with simple means without additional material expenditure.
  • the long fold lines facilitate the formation of the tube, because the mandrel using the measures according to the invention does not necessarily have to have a circular cross section but can also be oval or at least quite flat at the edges, so that there are manufacturing advantages, but still the shape of all around closed tube (via the longitudinal sealing seam) can be reached because the long fold lines on the areas of the cathedral come to lie with great curvature and allow a perfect folding.
  • the two long fold lines are diametrically opposite one another and are preferably arranged between two shape transition fold lines.
  • This symmetrical arrangement facilitates production, and an almost flat sheet metal can then be used as a mandrel when forming the tube. Due to the even spacing of the fold lines, the material is distributed evenly, or the design can be changed in a uniform manner.
  • the elasticity which starts from the long folding lines on both sides has an effect over the entire material range up to the tips of the triangular flaps.
  • the longitudinal sealing seam is between two Form transition fold lines and arranged at a distance from the long fold lines.
  • the longitudinal seal seam be arranged approximately midway between the pair of shape transition fold lines in such a way that the pair of long fold lines are further apart at a distance.
  • the finished pack for flowable filling goods shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 consists of a total of 1 side walls, a distinction being made between field 1 and side field 1a in FIG. 3 on the right and in FIGS. 4 and 5 at the front.
  • the pack In the area of the lid 2, the pack has a round cross section, because the lid 2 is also circular in plan view.
  • the side walls 1 are shaped into a tube and connected along the longitudinal sealing seam 4 for the final formation of the closed tube. It can be seen from FIGS. 2, 4 and 5 that the longitudinal sealing seam 4 extends into the bottom 3. This also results from the blank shown in FIG. 3.
  • the tube has the height H in the shape of FIG. 2, which, taking into account the shaping before the completion of the base 3, is of course smaller than the total height of the blank of FIG. 3, measured from bottom to top.
  • the height H of the tube is measured from the upper edge 6 of the lid 2 to the fold line 7, d. H. to the level of the fully folded block base 3.
  • the height between lines 5 and 7 according to FIG. 3 disappears.
  • the double cardboard strip 8 (FIGS. 3 to 5) is formed in the block bottom forms known per se, in which the barely visible in FIG. 2 and in FIGS. 3 to 5 are shown there is a dashed short line indicated cross seal 9.
  • the triangular lobes 10 are also formed here.
  • the lid 2 is already sealed liquid-tight before filling. It can either be prefabricated, pulled from the warehouse and sealed to the round tube or molded directly onto the round end of the tube.
  • the cover 2 is constructed only from thermoplastic and without a carrier material: the cover is molded on in the form of the use form, in which the opening device is folded outwards as shown in FIG. 1. This facilitates the opening process when in use.
  • the pouring device is generally designated 13 and, after injection or sealing, is folded in before the package is turned over to the state of FIG. 2 so that no individual parts of the pouring device 13 protrude beyond the outer edge 6. This guarantees perfect stability and good packaging (using shrink wrap or the like).
  • the pouring device 13 sits in the center of the lid 2 in the form of an upwardly projecting ring collar 14 according to FIG. 1, the upper edge 15 of which is connected to a sealing plug 16 with a welded gripping ring 17.
  • the upper edge 6 of the cover 2 is practically only a ring, which is sealed or molded onto the upper side of the tube on the side opposite the lower edge 5 in FIG. 3.
  • long folding lines 18 are arranged diametrically opposite one another in the tube 1 and extend over the entire height H of the tube and parallel to its central axis.
  • the central axis is not shown in the figures, but all lines that run from the bottom to the lid of the package lie parallel to it, in the embodiment shown in particular also the longitudinal sealing seam 4 in the region of the height H.
  • the long fold lines 18 also lie between two shape transition fold lines 20, as can be seen on the left tip 21 in Figure 3 and in the same way on the right tip 21.
  • These shape transition folding lines 20 start from the four corners 19 of the base 3 and extend over approximately half of the tube height H, see FIG. 3 also recognizes that the two long fold lines 18 extend through the tips 21 of the triangular flaps 10.
  • the longitudinal sealing seam 4 lies - if one looks at FIGS. 4 and 5, for example, between the two adjacent shape transition folding lines 20, of which only the “short ” line shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 is shown at the same distance, and at the same distance of the long folding lines 18, of which only the line arranged at the front in each case is shown in Figures 4 and 5.
  • the right edge 4 'of Figure 3 lies in the course of the longitudinal sealing seam 4, so that the specified positional relationships of the short shape transition folding lines 20 to long fold line 18 or the longitudinal sealing seam 4 are also recognizable.
  • the long fold lines 18 alone and in connection with the shape transition fold lines 20 have the essential advantage that they represent a grip extension for the user. If one takes into account the direction of flow of the pouring jet after opening the opening device, then these folding lines, in particular the long folding lines 18, lie at the top in the grip area of the user perpendicular to the direction of flow of the pouring jet. As a result, the new pack can be held much better, and the user has the feeling of greater security and therefore has better control over the movements with the new pack.
