Die radiale Innenfläche des Halteringes ist eine axial nach vorn divergierende Kegelmantelfläche, die mit der axialen Innenfläche des Umlenkteiles einen freien Zwischenraum bildet. Im Anschluß an den in den freiliegenden Glockenraum mündenden Ringspalt ist durch eine Ringnut im Befestigungsteil ein von dem zylindrischen Abschnitt der Übergangsfläche der Zerstäuberglocke verschlossener Hohlraum gebildet, der mit dem genannten Zwischenraum über viele, gleichmäßig auf den Umfang des Umlenkteiles verteilte, radiale Kanälchen in Verbindung steht, welche am Übergang vom Befestigungsteil zum Umlenkteil an dessen rückwärtiger Fläche angeordnet sind, so daß aus der Düse austretende, auf diese Fläche gelangende Farbflüssigkeit an der axialen Innenfläche des Umlenkteiles radial nach außen strömt und über die Kanälchen, den ringförmigen Hohlraum und den Ringspalt auf die Überströmungsfläche der Glocke gelangt. Wird mit dieser bekannten Einrichtung beispielsweise ein aus Stammlack und Härter bestehender Zweikomponentenlack als Farbe vernebelt, dann kann es vorkommen, daß sich die nichtflüchtige Komponente der Farbe, nämlich der Stammlack, auf der konischen Innenfläche des Halteringes und/oder auf dem vom Haltering nicht bedeckten Teil der Übergangsfläche der Zerstäuberglocke niederschlägt und beim Spülen der Glocke mittels Stammlack-Verdünners nicht entfernt wird, weil die Ablagerungsstellen von dem flüssigen Verdünner nicht bespült werden, so daß bei einem Farbwechsel die Gefahr der Verunreinigung der als nächste zu vernebelnden Farbe besteht. Claims (4)

1. Device for electrostatically atomising liquid paint, comprising an atomizer bell (10; 110) which is rotatable about a central axis (16 ; 116) and has an axial opening (14 ; 114) at its base (26.1 ; 126.1) and an annular, coaxial overflow surface (24 124) at its axially front end face, the radially inner edge of which overflow surface (24 ; 124) is connected to the axially front end of the opening (14 ; 114) by means of a transitional surface (26 ; 126) ; further comprising a coaxial, rotationally symmetrical deflecting part (28 ; 128), the rear of the, optionally paint transmissible, centre of which deflecting part is situated opposite the opening (14 ; 114) and the radially outer edge of which deflecting part provides an annular gap (34; 134) with the bell (10 ; 110), which gap interrupts the transition from the front (30 ; 130) of the deflecting part (28 ; 128) to the overflow surface (24 ; 124) ; and further comprising a nozzle (54) which is seated at the front end of a coaxial paint feeding tube (52) and opens axially opposite the centre of the deflecting part (28 ; 128), characterised in that the transitional surface (26 ; 126) of the bell (10 ; 110) and the rear of the deflecting part (28 ; 128) together limit a space (32 ; 132) in the kind of a gap between the bell and the deflecting part, which space is locally interrupted only by spacers (36 ; 136) between the bell and the deflecting part and has a substantially constant width of gap.
2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the nozzle (54) is situated centrally in the opening (14) at the base (26.1) of the bell.
3. Device according to claim 1 or 2 in which the atomizer bell (110) has a circumferential spraying edge (160) and a circumferential loading edge (162), characterised in that the two edges (160, 162) are each rectangular in section.

Device according to one of the claims 1 to 3, in which the deflecting part (128) has a coaxial inlet (142) in its paint transmissible centre, opposite the nozzle opening and has an outlet (158) on to the front end of the deflecting part (128), characterised in that the deflecting part (128) has an overflow surface (129 and 130, respectively) both at its rear face and at its front face so that a shunt stream of paint discharges into the main . stream of paint at the edge of the front overflow surface (130), which main stream flows on the front overflow surface (124) of the bell (110) and is derived from the rear overflow surface (129), and that radial transverse bores (158) are provided as outlet for this shunt stream, which transverse bores open at one end into the axial inlet (142) and at their other end on to the front surface of the deflecting part (128) and deflect the let in shunt stream of paint radially.
