Abstract

In the case of a pressure-proof sleeve for connecting two cables having two half-shells, by means of which a cavity for splice reception is constructed, having transition pieces for the cable ends, which are placed on an inner cable sheath, and clips for clamping on the armouring wires or strain relief elements, it is provided that the transition pieces are constructed as corrugated tubes and are arranged over the conically constructed ends of the divided sleeve and the de- sheathed ends of the cable, that a first shrink-on collar is applied which extends over the sleeve and the corrugated tubes and closes sealingly against the inner cable sheath, that the strain relief elements are distributed over the circumference of the first shrink-on collar, that there are provided in each case at the ends of the cone and in the middle of the sleeve clips which non-positively connect the strain relief elements to the sleeve, and that a second shrink-on collar is applied over the entire structure.
