Abstract
Opfmdelsen angår en startanordning til en bilmotor eller lignende forbrændingsmotor, og nærmere bestemt af den art, hvor starteffekten frembringes af en på forhånd opspændt fjeder ( 4 ), hvis akkumulerede energi (fjederspænding) udløses under startprocessen. Fjederen påvirker motoren via et startdrev (12, 13, 14), som er koblet til motoren under startprocessen, og som automatisk frakobles igen i samme øjeblik, motoren roterer ved egen kraft. Det nye ved opfindelsen består i, at der i forbindelse med det fjederdrevne startdrev er indsat en elektromotor (5), hvormed fjederen (4) spændes efter hvert startforsøg. Elektromotoren påvirker fjederen via et reduktionsgear (6) med stor udveksling, hvilket muliggør anvendelsen af en relativt lille elektromotor med begrænset effekt. Denne elektromotor har et, efter forholdene, moderat strømforbrug, og kan derfor drives af et Li-ion batteri eller et andet tilsvarende miljøvenligt batteri med begrænset ydeevne. Under normale omstændigheder sker fjederoptrækket medens forbrændingsmotoren er i gang, dvs medens motorens el-generator producerer elektrisk effekt. Energien til fjederopspændingen leveres således af forbrændingsmotoren selv. Li-ion batteriet tjener alene som backup for startsystemet, og belastes normalt ikke af opspændings-elektromotoren (5) under startfjederens, (4) opspænding. Fordelen ved det nye startsystem er, at det elektriske system og batteriet i særdeleshed ikke skal dimensioneres til en max strømstyrke, som er bestemt af en direkte virkende elektrisk startmotor. Man er på denne måde i stand til at udfase de hidtil anvendte blyholdige startbatterier, og at erstatte disse med mere miljøvenlige batterier.
