Claims (4)
1. Automatisk forarbejdningsapparat til objektbærer omfattende: (a) en objektbærerholder (33); (b) en reagensholder (300); (c) en dyseholder (100); og (d) en reagensdispenser, kendetegnet ved at objektbærerholderen (33) og reagensholderen (300) er operativt fast anbragt, og dyseholderen (100) er selektivt roterbart bevægelig i forhold til objektbærerholderen (33) og reagensholderen (300), hvor reagensholderen (300), dyseholderen (100) og reagensdispenseren alle er monteret vertikalt over objektbærerholderen (33).
2. Apparat ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved et eller flere af følgende træk: (a) hvor objektbærerholderen (33) bærer en flerhed af adskilte objektbærerplatforme (50); (b) hvor objektbærerholderen (33) bærer platforme der omfatter varmelegemer og/eller temperaturfølere; (c) hvor objektbærerholderen (33) omfatter mindst et væskeafløb (38); (d) hvor objektbærerholderen (33) er forskydeligt monteret i apparatet for at tillade isætning og aftagning af objektbærere i objektbærerholderen (33); (e) hvor objektbærerholderen (33) er forskydeligt monteret på skinner (40); (f) hvor objektbærerholderen (33) er forskydeligt monteret på skinner (40), og omfatter en dæmper til blød dæmpning af skinnernes (40) bevægelse. Fremgangsmåde til forarbejdning af en flerhed af objektbærere hver med en biologisk prøve derpå, hvor objektbærerne er fast positioneret og reagenser er tilvejebragt monteret til en operativt fastholdt reagensbærer monteret vertikalt over objektbærerne, med trinnene at: (a) forberede en første objektbærer (60) til biologisk behandling med et reagens; (b) bevæge en reagensdispenser til en valgt reagensbeholder (302); (c) trække et forvalgt volumen reagens fra reagensbeholderen (302) ind i reagensdispenseren; (d) bevæge reagensdispenseren til den første objektbærer; (e) dispensere det forvalgte volumen reagens fra reagensdispenseren på den første objektbærer; (f) forberede en anden objektbærer til behandling med et reagens; (g) rengøre reagensdispenseren; (h) bevæge reagensdispenseren til et valgt reagens der kan være det samme eller forskelligt fra reagenset ifølge trin (b); (i) trække en forvalgt mængde reagens fra reagensbeholderen (302) valgt i trin (h) ind i reagensdispenseren; (j) bevæge reagensdispenseren til den andet objektbærer; (k) dispensere det forvalgte volumen reagens valgt i trin (h) fra reagensdispenseren på den andet objektbærer; (l) rengøre reagensdispenseren; og (m) gentage trinnene (h) - (I).

Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 3, kendetegnet ved et eller begge af følgende træk: (a) hvor to reagensdispensere (302) er tilvejebragt og omfattende trinnet at rengøre en af reagensdispenserne mens den anden reagensdispenser anvendes til at trække og udlevere reagens på en valgt objektbærer; og (b) hvor reagensdispenseren omfatter en robotiseret sprøjte, og reagens optages ved aspiration.
