Die Erfindung betrifft eine Abweiser-Schutzvorrichtung an Nutzkraftfahrzeugen, insbesondere an Lastkraftwagen, Sattelanhängern, Anhängern, Zugmaschinen od.dgl., zum Herabsetzen der Gefahr des Überrollens von ungeschützten Verkehrsteilnehmern wie Fußgängern, Rad- und/oder Kraftradfahrern im Kollisionsfall. Dazu sind solche Schutzvorrichtungen plankenartig ausgebildet und füllen, um die ihnen zugemessene Funktion hinreichend auszuüben, im wesentlichen den Freiraum vor den Hinterrädern, im allgemeinen bis zur Fahrerkabine, aus, so daß im Falle einer Kollision ein ungeschützter Verkehrsteilnehmer aus dem Bereich des Nutzkraftfahrzeuges, insbesondere der Räder, gehalten werden kann, um ein Überrollen zumindest mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit zu vermeiden. Mit den bekannten Abweisern, die allerdings ausschließlich auf diese Schutzfunktion beschränkt sind, lassen sich in der Regel zufriedenstellende Ergebnisse erreichen.Such deflector protective devices on commercial vehicles are generally known in practice.
