Der Printer nach Fig. 1 hat ein Gehäuse 1, in welchem ein Schlitten 2 horizontal verfahrbar ist. Der Schlitten 2 trägt einen Druckkopf 3. Der Behälter 10 ist in einer Wanne 13 vertikal beweglich geführt und auf Federn 14 abgestützt. Die Federkonstante dieser Federn 14 ist derart bemessen, dass die Oberfläche 12 unabhängig vom Tinten-Vorratsvolumen auf annähernd gleichem Niveau bleibt. Unterhalb der Membran 27 hat der Deckel 15 eine Oeffnung 29, die innen durch einen abhebbaren, flexiblen Folienlappen 30 verschlossen ist. Dieser bildet ein Rückschlagventil. Mit dieser Pumpe 26 kann manuell durch mehrmaliges Eindrücken der Membran 27 etwas Ueberdruck im Luftraum oberhalb der Tintenoberfläche 12 erzeugt werden. Damit wird die Tinte 11 in die Verbindungsleitung 20 getrieben. Sobald diese gefüllt ist, d.h. wenn etwas Tinte aus den Düsen 4 austritt, wird der Luftraum oberhalb der Oberfläche 12 wieder mit Atmosphärendruck beaufschlagt. Dazu kann z.B. ein Gummipfropfen 35 aus einer Oeffnung 36 des Deckels 15 oberhalb der Oberfläche 12 ausgezogen werden. Bei der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 4 braucht zum Auffüllen der Verbindungsleitung 20 und des Schaumkörpers 5 des Druckkopfes 3 bloss leicht auf den Beutel 40 gedrückt zu werden.
