Description
- Gelatinierungs- und Weichmachungsmittel Es wurde gefunden, daß die höhermolekularen Nitroparaffine und ihre Abkömmlinge gute Gelatinierungs- und Weichmachungsmittel für Cellulosederivate darstellen. Die höhermolekul aren Nitroparaffine, die eine oder mehrere Nitrogruppen enthalten können, werden in bekannter Weise, zweckmäßig nach dem den Gegenstand des Patents 748977 bildenden Verfahren durch Einwirkung von Salpetersäure auf höhermolekulare Paraffinkohlenwasserstoffe mit gerader oder verzweigter Kette und mindestens 8, zweckmäßig wenigstens 12 Kohlenstoffatomen erhalten. Als Gelatinierungs- und Weichmachungsmittel sind außer den Nitroparaffinen auch deren Abkömmlinge, insbesondere Nitroparaffinalkohole und ihre Ester, gut geeignet. Die Nitroparaffinalkohole können durch Einwirkung aliphatischer Aldehyde auf die Nitroparaffine belispielsweise nach dem den Gegenstand des Patents 925 828 bildenden Verfahren erhalten und in bekannter Weise mittels ein- oder mehrbasischer Carbonsäuren bzw. mehrbasischer, anorganischer, sauerstoffhaltiger Säuren, wie Borsäure oder Phosphorsäure, in die entsprechenden Ester übergeführt werden. Die neuen Gelatinierungs- und Weichmachungsmittel sind mit den Cellulosederivaten ausgezeichnet verträglich und verleihen denselben hervorragende Elastizität und Kältebeständigkeit.
- Die Nitroparaffine oder ihre Abkömmlinge sind außerdem mit anderen hochpolymeren Stoffen gut verträglich, so daß man leicht Mischprodukte her- stellen kann, also beispielsweise aus Cellulosederivaten und Na;turharzen, natürlichem Kautschuk oder Eiweißkunstmassen.
- Beispiel 30 Gewichtsteile Nitrocellulose (niedrigviskos) (2 : 1 Spritz werden in 30 Gewichtsteilen Butylacetat -(IooO/oig), 5 Gewichtsteilen Butanol, 10 Gewichtsteilen Toluol, Io Gewichtsteilen Xylol gelöst und der Lösung 15 Gewichtsteile Nitroparaffin zugegeben. Es entsteht ein Lack, der einen elastischen und chemisch sehr widerstandsfähigen Film hinterläßt.

- PATENTANSPRUCH: Verwendung höhermolekularer Nitroparaffine bzw. ihrer Abkömmlinge, insbesondere Nitroparaffinalkohole oder deren Ester, als Gelatinierungs- und Weichmachungsmittel für Cellulosederivate.
