Zu diesem Zweck enthält das Meßgerät nach der Erfindung ein elastisches Meßband, dessen eines Ende am Gerätegehäuse festgelegt ist und das mit seinem anderen Ende so am Umfang einer drehbar in dem Gehäuse gelagerten Walze befestigt ist, daß die außerhalb des Gehäuses liegende freie Länge des durch einen Schlitz des Gehäuses geführten Meßbandes eine Funktion der Stellung der Walze darstellt, die auf einer in senkrechtem Abstand von der Walzenebene angeordneten Skala ablesbar ist, über der ein Zeiger spielt, der durch einen mit der Walze durch eine Welle verbundenen Drehknopf verstellbar ist.
