The innovation concerns an NH fuse according to the generic term of claim 1.

The switch cover, which is pivotably mounted on the NH fuse base, serves both as a tool for inserting and removing an NH fuse link or isolating blade and, when switched on, as a contact protection cover, regardless of whether an NH fuse link or isolating blade is inserted.

When using NH fuses in transformer-near distribution systems, e.g. NH fuse strips in cable distribution cabinets, very high short-circuit currents occur due to the low impedance of the supply line, the dynamic forces of which result in the NH fuse inserts or isolating blades being thrown out, since the contact forces of the contact springs acting on the blade contact pieces of the NH fuse insert or isolating blade

are not enough to prevent this.

The aim of the innovation is to further develop a known NH fuse base, single- or multi-pole, in particular an NH fuse strip, which is provided with a switch cover, the operating handle of which is arranged so that it can be moved vertically to the plane of the NH fuse base, in such a way that even when these switching devices are used close to the transformer, the NH fuse inserts or isolating blades used in the NH fuse base do not experience any change in position under the expected short-circuit stresses.

This problem is solved according to the innovation by the characterising part of claim 1.

Advantageous embodiments of the innovation are the subject of the subclaims.

An example of the innovation is explained using the drawings.

Fig. 1 the switch cover area broken out of the NH fuse without the partition wall in front of it and the NH fuse insert or separating blade to be inserted. The switch cover is in the switched-on position in which the operating handle is pushed into the NH fuse base.

Fig. 2 the switch cover area as in Fig. 1, but with the operating handle pulled out, which is locked in this position by the locking device pivotally mounted on it.

Fig. 3 the switch cover area as in Fig. 2, but with the switch cover pivoted into the off position, in which the switch cover can be removed from the NH fuse base for fitting or changing NH fuse inserts or isolating blades.

The NH fuse or NH fuse strip essentially consists of at least one NH fuse base 1 with laterally formed partition walls IC and the removable switch cover 2, which has an open-edged pivot bearing 2A for pivoting out of the NH base 1, which surrounds the bearing point IB on the partition wall IC.

The switch cover 2 is equipped with a U-shaped operating handle 3 that is arranged vertically to the plane of the NH fuse base 1 and that is pushed into the NH fuse base in the operating state, i.e. in the switched-on position, in order to keep the installation depth required for installation in the distributor as small as possible.

In this position, the hook 4B formed on the arm 4A of the locking device grips the abutment IA formed on the partition IC of the NH fuse base 1 in order to lock the switch cover 2 in a form-fitting manner on the NH fuse base 1 so that

In the event of a short circuit, the NH fuse inserts or isolating blades installed on the switch cover 2 remain in their position.

In order to swivel the switch cover 2 into the off position and to be able to remove it from the NH fuse base so that the NH fuse inserts or separating blades can be inserted or replaced, the operating handle 3 must be pulled out of the NH fuse base 1 and locked in this position. To do this, the locking device 4 must be swiveled until the hook 4B comes out of engagement with the abutment IA formed on the partition IC. In this position, the operating handle 3 can be removed so that the arm 4A automatically swivels into the basic position, whereby the support 4C comes to rest in front of the support bearing 2B formed on the switch cover 2 and thus prevents the operating handle 3 from being pushed in -

The advantage of the new design is that a universal application of the NH fuse or NH fuse strip is achieved using simple means.

NH fuse, single or multi-pole, consisting of - an NH fuse base (1) with laterally arranged separating or contact protection walls (IC) - a switch cover (2) pivotably mounted on the NH fuse base (1) - a U-shaped operating handle (3) arranged on the switch cover (2) so as to be movable perpendicular to the plane of the NH fuse base (1), - a U-shaped locking device (4) pivotally mounted on the operating handle (3) and enclosing the operating handle, the side arms of which form a two-armed latch, whereby the arm (4A) directed towards the NH fuse base (1) is supported on the support bearing (2B) of the switch cover (2) when the operating handle (3) is pulled out and thereby locks the operating handle (3) in this position, characterized in that that a hook (4B) of the locking device (4) is formed on at least one of the arms (4A) directed towards the NH fuse base (1), which hook engages behind a complementary abutment (IA) formed on the partition wall (IC) of the NH fuse base (1). 2.
