Description

Es ist bisher üblich gewesen, mit einer Spiegel-oder ähnlichen Schicht belegte Scheiben aus Glas oder anderen durchsichtigen Werkstoffen z. Diese Verfahren waren umständlich und wenig zuverlässig, da insbesondere die bei Spiegeln üblichen Lacke erfahrungsgemäß im Laufe der Zeit abblätterten und den Spiegel verdarben. Auch Kunststoffolien sind bereits zum Schutze solcher Flächen verwendet worden, sie besitzen aber den Nachteil, daß sie mit besonderen Klebern befestigt werden müssen und meist verhältnismäßig teuer sind. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist nun ein sehr einfach aufzubringender Überzug aus plastischen und zugleich elastischen kunststoffartigen Veredlungsprodukten, wie sie bei der Behandlung bituminöser Stoffe mit Redoxkatalysatoren in Gegenwart von vorzugsweise bekannten chlorierten Hochpolymeren und Sauerstoff erhalten werden. Diese Stoffe sind von dauernder Plastizität und besitzen gleichzeitig eine sehr hohe Elastizität, da sie um das Eineinhalb- bis Zweifache reversibel dehnbar sind. Mit derartigen Stoffen lassen sich auf einfache Weise Überzüge auf den Belegungen durchscheinender Werkstoffe, wie z. B. der Rückseite von Spiegeln, herstellen. Solche Überzüge stellen einen sehr widerstandsfähigen und dauerhaften Oberflächenschutz. dar.
