The invention relates to a profile gravel layer for drainage, particularly in the roof and facade area of buildings _; according to the preambles of patent claims 1 and 2.

The invention is based on a conventional, simple profile connection. For use in the roof and facade areas of buildings, the assembly of sheets with such simple profile connections is always difficult, since the two sheets to be connected must each be fixed separately before the profile connection itself can be made.

The invention is intended to enable a profile clamp connection for sheet metal 2U schäffer», which enables cost-saving, problem-free and quick assembly.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features characterized in claims 1 and 2. Preferred features that advantageously further develop the invention can be found in the subordinate claims.

The inventive design of the profile clamp connection enables a much simpler and faster installation of sheets, especially in the roof and facade area of buildings, because sheet metal (1) is firmly connected to the roof substructure and sheet metal (2) is adjusted by clamping in the connection area (4.5,6 and 10,11,12). in the roof and facade area, for example for roof coverings, wall connections, parapet connections, facade and wall cladding, as well as coverings is particularly advantageous.

During installation, no clips or retaining brackets are required due to the direct fastening (13) of sheet metal (1). Foldings or other expansion problems that occur with seam roofs are eliminated because the design of the profile clamp connection ensures that the sheet metal material compensates for expansion.

Longitudinal expansion of the sheet metal strips is taken into account by appropriately designed elongated holes in the fastening area (13). The profile clamp connection according to the invention absorbs expansion deformations without affecting the stability or tightness of the profile clamp connection, whereby additional protection is achieved by inserting a sealing tape (14) in the folding area (15, 16). The profile clamp connection is rain and snow-proof and can be produced using commercially available profiling and bending machines. The ventilation (17) in the profile area also enables use in problem areas (cantilever roofs) with appropriate ridge and hip ventilation. The profiling of sheet metal (2) can be trapezoidal, round, semi-circular or other shapes depending on the optical aspect.

Sheet metal (1) is manufactured by creating a profile (7,8,9) according to optical criteria, which is given the appropriate stability and expansion capability in the connection area (10,11,12) due to the wedge shape. The height and width of the profile (7,8,9) take the required ventilation cross-sections into account. In the connection area (10,11,12) the height of the clamping cellar results from the dimensions of sheet metal (2) in the connection area (4,5,6).

Sheet metal (2) is manufactured by folding the sheet metal strip in the area (16,15), creating an upturned edge (3) and using the edges (4,5,6) to achieve a holding function for sheet metal (1) in the connection area (4,5,6 and 10,U,12).

Sheet metal (1) is fastened using screws, rivets or nails (13) in specially made holes (long holes) to ensure longitudinal expansion of the sheets.

When bending in the folding area (16,15), a sealing tape can also be included.

The connection of sheet metal (1) with the attached sheet metal (2) is made by setting up sheet metal (2) and inserting the clamping wedge (10,11,12) into the connection area (4,5,6) of sheet metal (1).
