Description

The innovation concerns an intermediate covering made of a plastic dispersion coated on both sides and a flexible carrier, preferably a needled plastic fleece, for attaching a floor covering to a floor.

Floor coverings, especially carpets, are usually laid in living rooms and offices so that they extend over the entire floor area. To ensure that the carpet does not form waves during use, it is either glued to the floor with its entire surface or laid as a "stretched carpet".

Intermediate covering of the type described above is solved by providing the underside of the carrier with a partial, preferably dot- or grid-shaped coating of a plasticizer-free hip adhesive.

The intermediate covering according to the innovation is laid as a blind covering with the adhesive facing downwards on the floor of the room in the same area that is to be covered with the carpet. The carpet is then glued to the laid intermediate covering in the usual way, whereby the carpet is given the necessary positional stabilization during its service life due to the bond between the intermediate covering and the subfloor, in particular with regard to the prevention of waves.

If the carpet has to be removed, it can be easily lifted off the subfloor together with the interlayer covering without damaging the subfloor, as the interlayer covering does not adhere to it over the entire surface.

In a practical design of the intermediate covering according to the innovation, its underside coated with the pressure-sensitive adhesive is laminated with a film in order to prevent individual panels of the intermediate covering from sticking together before it is used.
