Description

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Einrichtung, um an elektrischen Kontakten einen dauernden gleichmäßigen Kontaktdruck und damit eine gute Stromverbindung zu sichern. Noch immer besteht der Übelstand, daß durch das Nachlassen des Kontaktdruckes die Kontakte durch Verbrennungen zerstört werden. Da ein ungenügender Kontaktdruck wegen des dadurch bedingten erhöhten Stromübergangswiderstandes sich durch Wärme bemerkbar macht, ist schon versucht worden, mittels Einrichtungen aus Thermo-Bimetall den Kontaktdruck selbsttätig wieder zu erhöhen. So ideal für diesen Zweck solches Bimetall geeignet erschien, haben doch a11 diese bekannten Einrichtungen vollkommen versagt und konnten in der Praxis nicht verwertet werden. Grund des Versagens ist, daß sich das Bimetall bei Erhitzung in den meisten Fällen nicht frei ausdehnen kann, sondern an den Kontaktteilen einen mehr oder weniger großen Widerstand findet. Dann muß sich aber das Bimetall durch Stauchungen oder Dehnungen verformen. Diese Verformung bleibt natürlich auch nach dem Zurückgehen des Bimetalls beim Erkalten zusätzlich bestehen. Wäre also z. B. das Bimetall in Ringform gestaltet, dann wäre der Ring nach einer solchen Erhitzung weiter geworden und könnte keinen Druck mehr auf den Kontakt ausüben.The invention is a device to electrical Contacts a constant, even contact pressure and thus a good power connection to secure.
