Bisher wurden Bekleidungsstücke, Hüte, Schuhobertheile u. dergl. derart aus Geweben hergestellt, dafs man die einzelnen Schnittblätter aus dem Gewebe ausschnitt. Durch dieses Ausschneiden wird die Gewebebindung an den Schnittlinien durch die Zertrennung der Fäden aufgehoben und mufste man, um eine kräftige Verbindung der einzelnen Theile unter einander, sei es durch Nähen oder auf sonstige Weise zu erzielen, einen ziemlich breiten Stofftheil hierfür zugeben oder aber durch besondere Einlagen die Festigkeit der Verbindung erhöhen. Um diesem Uebelstande abzuhelfen, webt man die einzelnen Blätter gleich in der dem Schnitte des Bekleidungsstückes u. s. w. entsprechenden Form und verstärkt die Konturen durch Einweben von Bändern, Borten, Schnüren oder dergleichen. Der hierzu verwendete Webstuhl ist der bekannte Handoder Kraft-Jacquard-Stuhl, der nur in seinem Rietblatt eine Aenderung erfährt.So far, articles of clothing, hats, uppers and the like have been made of this type of fabric produced by cutting out the individual cut sheets from the tissue. Die nun folgenden Karten sind der Rundung des Vordertheiles entsprechend derart geschlagen, dafs von II-II sowohl links als auch rechts vom Mittel des Schuhobertheiles allmälig ein oder mehrere Kettenfäden zu den die Breite von II-II einschliefsenden fachbildend hinzutreten und die Aufsenborte A in Verbindung mit dem Einschlag einweben. Durch dieses successive Zunehmen der Kettenbreite wird im Zusammenhange mit dem Einschlag von selbst die Borte oder das Band u. s. w. in der Kontur des Obertheiles eingewebt. Dieser Vorgang bleibt der gleiche, bis die volle Kette fachbildend bethätigt erscheint. Im Moment, wo nun der Vordertheil bis zur Linie I-1 gewebt ist, wird auch für die innere Begrenzung des Obertheiles eine Borte B eingelegt und wie oben eingewebt.
