Die Universalfeder besteht aus der Hülse A, die als Tintenbehälter dient und auf welcher die anderen Bestandtheile montirt sind. In diese Hülse ist die Vorrichtung B zum Reguliren des Tintenzuflusses eingeschoben (Fig. 2) und durch Umbörtelung der Ränder α der Hülse mit letzterer verbunden. Die Regulirvorrichtung' (Fig. 9 Ansicht, Fig. 10 Schnitt nach ii-u) besteht aus einer Schraubenspindel b, die im Theile c geführt ist und ein wenig aus dem Untertheile d hervorragt. Dieser Theil d ist mit Schraubengewinde versehen, auf welches der eigentliche Federhalter C aufgeschraubt wird (Fig. 2). Im letzteren ruht auf ringförmigem Vorsprung e eine mit einem centralen Loch f versehene Gummischeibe g, in welches Loch der Stift b eingreift. Die Regulirvorrichtung functionirt folgendermafsen: Will man den Tintenzuflufs in die Schreibfeder vermindern, so schraubt man die Theile A und C fest zusammen; dadurch verengt sich, das Loch g dermafsen, dafs der darin steckende Stift b nur eine kleine Menge Tinte durchfüefsen läfst. Durch Losschrauben beider Theile A und C erweitert sich das Loch f entsprechend und der Tintenzuflufs ist ein stärkerer. Selbstredend kann man auch durch entsprechendes "Herausschrauben der Spindel b, was nach Losschrauben des Federhalters C geschieht, diese mehr oder weniger in das Loch_/ eindringen lassen, um den Tintenzuflufs zu vermindern oder zu vergröfsern. Aus dem Lochy fliefst die Tinte in dem Tintenzuführer h, welcher sie der Schreibfeder i zuführt. Wie aus Fig. 11 ersichtlich, besteht dieser Zuführer aus einem dreizackigen Blechstück, das durch Umbiegen die in Fig. 12 in Ansicht und in Fig. 13 im Schnitt dargestellte Form annimmt. Dieser Zuführer wird in die Schreibfeder in der in Fig. 2 und 14 angedeuteten Art eingeschoben und beide in den Federhalter C eingesteckt.
