Am hinteren Ende ist dieses Rohr geschlossen, am vorderen Ende ist in dasselbe beispielsweise eine Drosselklappe g eingesetzt, um dieses Ende des Rohres mehr oder weniger weit schliefsen zu können. Durch die den vorderen Theil des Rohres c umgebende heifse Asche wird die durch den Zug des Schornsteins in dasselbe von aufsen hineingesaugte Luft derart erhitzt, dafs sie aus den Oeffhungen in Strahlenform herausgetrieben wird. Diese Strahlen erhalten die Flugasche in wirbelnder Bewegung, durch welche sie allmählich zum Aschenfang h befördert wird.
