Die Erfindung bezweckt, den in dem Speicher befindlichen Brennstoff von den durch die Brennstofförderpumpe herrührenden Stößen (Drucl>sch.`vankungen) frei zu machen, so daß er möglichst ohne Druckschwankungen, also unter gleichmäßiger Spannung, den Einspritzdüsen über den Verteiler (Steuerorgan) zugeführt werden kann. Dies wird gemäß der Erfindung dadurch erreicht, daß der Speicher in eine Mehrzahl von Kammern unterteilt ist, die, nur durch Übergangsrohre miteinander verbunden, gegen Druckrückwirkungen durch Rückschlagventile und gegen Überdruck durch ein überdruckventil gesichert sind.
