Abstract

Smoking article (cigar or cigarette) containing at least one smoking material chosen from among natural tobacco, reconstituted tobacco and tobacco substitutes comprising natural or synthetic non-tobacco products intended completely or partially to replace tobacco in a smoking article. For this purpose, the wrapper of the article has added to it a mixture of at least one reducing sugar which is non-volatile at room temperature and of at least one nitrogen-containing compound which releases ammonia at the temperature of and throughout the burning of the product.

Claims

1.
