Abstract

The object of this invention is a totally automatic wrapping machine for newspapers, magazines, books and the like, with the use of any kind of paper; featuring a very high wrapping speed, two ways of glueing the edges of the wrapper lengthwise and the possibility of achieving two different finishings, by modifying the end part of the machine.

Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es, eine vollautomatische Verpackungsmaschine für Zeitungen, Zeitschriften, Bücher und ähnliche Artikel zu konstruieren, die jedwede Art von Papier zum Einwickeln dieser Artikel zu verwenden vermag und die mit sehr hoher Einwickelgeschwindigkeit arbeitet, die auf zwei Weisen die Kanten der Umhüllung der Länge nach klebt und die die Möglichkeit bietet, durch Modifizierung des hinteren Teils der Maschine entsprechend der nachfolgenden Beschreibung zwei unterschiedliche Verfahrensweisen bei der Gestaltung des Endproduktes zu erhalten. Zuallererst beinhaltet die Maschine eine Zeitschriftenentnahmevorrichtung, die die Zeitschriften einzeln von einem Stapel entnimmt; hierauffolgt in Reihe eine andere Vorrichtung zum Öffnen der ersten Seite jeder Zeitschrift, während ein oder mehrere Anleger eine Beilage in die geöffnete Zeitschrift einfügen können. Claims

1. Machine for wrapping newspapers, magazines and similar articles with paper, said machine comprising an article removal device (1) which takes the articles individually from a stack, and an unwinding device which draws the paper wrapping material from rolls (8) and places it under the articles; the machine is characterized in that it comprises:

a motor-driven pressure belt (4) which holds the articles at the appropriate distance from each other; a hot glue spray device (5) with which a strip of glue is applied across the paper between one article and the following one;

a further glue spraying device (7) which applies the glue along the edges of the wrapping paper sheet folded towards the middle over the article;

two folding elements which gradually close the edges of the wrapping sheet over each other;

a pressing stamp (9) and transverse strip pressing rollers (15, 16) which press the glued strip of the wrapping paper sheet between each pair of articles;

Cutting means (17,18) which separate the paper sheet between one article and the following in the transverse direction;

a discharge belt (12) which moves each wrapped article away from the next one.

2. Machine for wrapping with paper according to claim 1, characterized in that the paper wrapping material is fed by rollers (8) which are located in the lower part of the machine and are provided with a lateral unwinding device.

3. Machine for wrapping with paper according to Patent claim 1, characterized in that the first hot glue spraying device (5) and the second glue spraying device (7) are controlled by corresponding photocells and sensors.

Machine for wrapping with paper according to claim 1, characterized in that it additionally comprises an opening device (2) which which opens the first page of each newspaper, magazine or similar article, and one or more input devices (3) which insert an insert into the opened newspaper, magazine or similar article.

Paper wrapping machine according to claim 1, characterized in that it further comprises a special unit for wrapping larger articles (19), said unit comprising two additional glue spraying devices (22) for applying glue laterally to the edges of a package containing an already wrapped larger article (19), said article (19) leaving the end of the wrap free, and two folding elements which fold said edges to complete the package.
