Durch die von Cornely abgeänderte Bonnaz-Stickmaschine (D. R. P. No. 34360) ist bekannt, wie eine einfache Schnur auf der Unterseite eines Stoffes durch Umschlingung mit einer Kettenstichnaht befestigt wird, und die von Mathieu abgeänderte Bonnaz-Stickmaschine (D. R. P. No. 53763) zeigt, wie eine in der Maschine während des Nähens selbst erzeugte gezwirnte Schnur auf der Oberseite des Stoffes mit einer Kettenstichnaht aufgenäht wird. Mit beiden Maschinen kann man also eine Schnur nur auf einer Seite des Stoffes aufnähen, und wenn ein Stoff auf beiden Seiten mit einer Schnur in demselben Muster benäht werden sollte, könnte dies blos nach einander auf jeder Seite erfolgen, wobei aber das Muster schwer einzuhalten sein würde. Gewisse Stoffe, wie z. B. Tüllgardinen, verlangen aber ein Besticken beider Seiten mit Schnur in demselben Muster, und zur Erreichung dieses Zweckes, um also die auf der oberen und unteren Maschine liegenden gezwirnten Schnüre gleichzeitig durch eine unsichtbar liegende Kettenstichnaht zu befestigen, dient die vorliegende Maschine. Dieselbe stellt sich gewissermafsen als eine vereinigte Bonnaz-Cornely-Mathieu-Stickmaschine dar und kennzeichnet sich noch besonders dadurch, dafs man die Drehungsrichtung der in der Maschine zu zwirnenden Schnüre beliebig ändern kann, also beliebig absetzend nach rechts oder links gezwirnte Schnüre aufnähen kann, wie dies beim Aufnähen von Tressen, Litzen und Handschuhzwickeln gefordert wird.With the Bonnaz embroidery machine modified by Cornely (D. Dazu ist erforderlich, dafs doppelt so viel Stiche gemacht werden, als Zwirndrehungen oder bei jedem Stich eine halbe Zusammendrehung der Fäden c erfolgt. Dies trifft auch für das obere Schnuraufnähen zu, und es geht dies auch aus der Gröfse der Antriebsräder R und JV, Fig. 1, für die oberen Spulen J hervor.
