Wenn ein mit Hilfe eines gewöhnlichen Linien- oder Punktrasters, z. B. ein unter einemDreifarben-Strichraster aufgenommenes Negativ, auf ein mit einem gleichen oder ähnlichen Raster bedrucktes Papier kopiert werden soll, so kann man bekanntlich nicht ein normales Raster auf das Papier aufdrucken, sondern muß dem Papierraster eine bestimmte Verzerrung nach den Rändern des Bildfeldes hin geben, weil auch das Negativ eine nach den Rändern zunehmende Verzerrung hat. Diese Verzerrung entsteht durch den nach den Rändern des Bildfeldes hin immer mehr zunehmenden Schrägeinfall der Lichtstrahlen durch die Rasteröffnungen. Wenn der Raster bei der Aufnahme einen gewissen Abstand von der Negativschicht hat, ist es ohne weiteres klar, daß hierdurch besonders an den Bildrändern eine parallaktische Verschiebung der Lichteindrücke gegenüber den Rasteröffnungen entsteht; aber auch bei unmittelbar auf der Platte liegendem Raster entsteht diese Verzerrung, da an den Bildfeldrändern das Licht die Rasteröffnungen und die lichtempfindliche Schicht in Form einer geneigten Röhre durchsetzt.
