Abstract

A storm hook (10) for retaining a tile (16) consists of a hook-like head (12) made of a flat material which can be hooked on the top side of a lapped tile (16), preferably into its water groove (14), and a foot (18) which can be directly linked to the head in a tension-resistant manner and which can be secured to the roof infrastructure (20). The head (12) may be linked to the foot (18) at a variable distance from the spot where the foot (18) is secured to the roof infrastructure (20). In order to create a storm hook which is easy to mount without tools on the top side of a roof, which can be used both for tiles with different profiles and for roof infrastructures of different sizes, in particular those with roof laths of different thicknesses and/or widths, and which can be secured to the roof infrastructure always with the maximum possible tensile force, the foot (18) is approximately L-shaped and its base leg (34) can be hooked at its free end (36) onto the roof infrastructure (20). A holder (28) for the long leg of the foot (18) is provided on a section (26) of the head (12) bent towards the foot (18). The upper end section (30) of the foot (18) which projects beyond the head (12) is bent directly above the holder (28) when the hook is mounted in its appropriate position, thus forming a tension-resistant connection.
