Bleibt der Tropfen dagegen an der Düsenkopfspitze hängen, so besteht die Gefahr des Verkokens. -Gemäß der Erfindung kann das Verkoken des nachsickernden Brennstoffes in sehr einfacher und zuverlässiger Weise dadurch verhindert werden, daß zwischen der Mündung der Spritzlöcher und dem tiefsten Punkt des Düsenkopfes, möglichst unmittelbar unterhalb der Spritzlöcher, Aussparungen oder Erhöhungen, zweckmäßig eine Ringnut oder Ringwulst, vorgesehen sind. Durch diese Anordnung wird der nahe der Spritzlochmündung sich anstauende, nachsickernde Brennstoff bei jeder Einspritzung durch den Spritzstrahl selbst injektorartig finit in den Verbrennungsraum gerissen, ohne daß besondere Vorkehrungen wie bei den bekannten Ausführungen getroffen sind, bei denen Luftströme an den Spritzlöchern vorbeigeführt werden.
