Die Längen der einr zelnen Kammtheile können zwar variiren, abesie müssen zusammenhängend immer die Länge eines Reifkammes, also 26. bis 32 cm haben. Um die unter einander gelenkartig verbundenen Theile des Kammes in bestimmten Stellungen festhallen zu können, entweder wenn dieselben eine gerade Linie bilden (Fig. 1) oder wenn dieselben in einem beliebigen Winkel zu einander stehen (Fig. 2), sind die Berührungsflächen der Gelenktheile an der einen Fläche concentrisch zu dem Drehzapfen mit Vertiefungen e° versehen, in welche eine entsprechende Erhöhung e¹ der gegenüberliegenden Fläche einzutreten vermag (Fig. 3 und 4).
