Schnell trocknende Anstrichstoffe Es ist schon lange bekannt, daß verschiedene Superoxyde, z. B. Benzoylsuperoxyd, verharztes Terpentinöl usw., die Trocknung chemisch trocknender Anstrichstoffe in geringem Maße zu beschleunigen vermögen. Im Laufe der letzten Jahre ist nun außerdem eine Reihe von organischen Stoffen, wie Carbanilid, Thiocarbanilid, Hexamethylentetramin, Diphenylguanidin (M a r 1 i n in Drugs, O i 1 s und P a i n t s , Vol. XL I I, Philadelphia, April 1927, Heft Nr. i i, Seite 373), bekanntgeworden, die auf chemisch trocknende Anstrichstoffe, wie Öle, Standöle, geschwefelte Öle, Üllacke. Öl- und öllackfarben, ferner unter Verwendung trocknender, fetter Öle hergestellte Spachtel, Kitte, Künstlerfarben usw., in An-oder Abwesenheit von Metalltrockenstoffen (sogenannten Sikkativen ) eine wenn auch sehr geringe Trocknungsbeschleunigung ausüben, die bei einigen von ihnen (z. B. Hexamethylentetramin, Diphenylguanidin) durch die Gegenwart von Oxyden der Metalle der zweiten Gruppe des periodischen Systems wesentlich verstärkt wird.Fast drying paints It has long been known that various super oxides, e.g. B. Es wurde nun gefunden, daß die Phenylhydrazone aliphatischer Ketone viel intensiver und universeller die Trocknung chemisch trocknender Anstrichstoffe zu beschleunigen vermögen. Nicht nur, daß sie in Abwesenheit von Metalloxyden, ja selbst von Metalltr ockenstoffen (Sikkativen ) wirksam sind, sie beschleunigen sowohl Leinöl und Leinölprodukte als auch Holzöl und Holzölprodukte. Beispiele i. Rohes Leinöl, in dünner Schicht auf einer Glasplatte aufgestrichen, ist in etwa 70 Stunden staubtrocken; durch Zusatz von i % Acetonphenylhydrazon trocknet es in etwa 3o Stunden. Bei rohem Holzöl kann durch denselben Zusatz die Staubtrocknung von etwa 70 Stunden auf etwa 6 Stunden herabgedrückt werden.It has now been found that the phenylhydrazones of aliphatic ketones are able to accelerate the drying of chemically drying paints much more intensively and universally.
