Description

Method of Making Patterned Lincrusta The Invention relates to a method for making patterned Lincrusta.

It is known to use the embossing roller when embossing patterns in bulk layers to be colored on their surface, so that the deep-lying embossing points turn out to be colored. It is also known to produce linoleum wall and ceiling coverings by that the cover mass is provided with embossings, the embossing as a result of the multicolored Ground layer results in multicolored patterns.

It is also known to produce patterns by squeezing pressure.

The present invention also makes use of the printing process for the production of multi-colored patterned Lincrusta, in such a way that the undyed Lincrustamasse applied to a colored base by using the pattern recessed nip rollers is pushed aside.

Since the Lincrusta mass itself is very neatly pushed aside leaves a three-dimensional tone-on-tone pattern by adding the colored base shines through the more or less squeezed-away areas in the Lincrustamasse.

Die hier zur Anwendung gelangende Lincrustamasse besteht aus Leinölfirnis, Holzmehl, Ton, Lithopone und Paraffin. The Lincrusta mass used here consists of linseed oil varnish, Wood flour, clay, lithopone and paraffin.

When carrying out the method, a roller is preferably used. on which the pattern is pressed in either in relief or recessed.

The production is explained in the figures, for example. It shows: Fig. i a top view of the finished Pro-Bukt, Fig. 2 a cross-section on an enlarged scale before the pattern is pressed in, Fig. 3 shows a cross section after the pattern has been pressed in, Fig. ¢ a schematic view of the execution the process rollers. The Lincrustä produced according to the invention consists of two layers. The backing layer i preferably consists of paper and is colored. On this colored base, which z. B. also a colored Lincrusta layer can be, a layer 2 of uncolored Lincrustamasse is applied. then is by means of the roller 3, which with recesses q. is provided, a pattern like this pressed in that corresponding points 6 of the coating layer are squeezed away again while it remains unaffected in other places 5. Condition is the presence two differently colored layers of mass, of which the upper layer is Lincrustamasse from which the pattern is squeezed out by nip rollers.

Instead of two-colored Lincrusta you can of course also use multi-colored Lincrusta produce in this way, thereby z. B. that the recesses in which makes the roller shallower and deeper.

Claims (1)

Claim: A process for the production of patterned Lincrusta, characterized in that the pattern is produced by squeezing away, known per se, an undyed Lincrusta mass applied to a colored base by squeezing rollers which have been removed according to the pattern.
