Description
Process for the production of a ribbed warp knitted fabric on a single-needle row warp knitting machine The present invention is a Process for the production of a ribbed, two-meshed warp knitted fabric on a single-needle warp knitting machine.
Gerippte Kettenwirkware stellt man bisher immer auf zweinadelreihigen Maschinen her. Ribbed warp knitted fabrics have always been placed on two-needle rows Machines. The present invention now makes it possible to namely to produce a cross-ribbed product on a single-needle machine, For what purpose according to the invention with the upper laying machine a basic product (for example in the form of a simple jersey laying under i over i and back), while the lower laying machine for the purpose of rib formation underlays (for example under 2 and back) in such a way that the lower laying machine with these underlays alternately once in the same direction as the upper one and then again in the opposite direction Towards the latter.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
The, # £ bb. i illustrates a layout diagram, and from Fig.2 goes a stitch pattern in which, for the sake of clarity, only one thread of the lower laying machine is shown.
The upper laying machine lays the basic goods with its threads i, for example in a simple jersey (under i over i and back), while the lower Laying machine with its threads 2 underlays for the purpose of rib formation, for example under 2 and back. The lower laying machine with the threads 2, as can be seen from the arrows in Fig. I of the drawing, once in the same In the same direction as the upper laying machine with the threads i and then again in opposite direction to the latter. The change in the direction of movement of the lower laying machine in relation to that of the upper one takes place in any way, for example, simply in such a way that the lower laying machine with its threads 2 a odd number of courses is simply not shifted sideways at all.
According to the laying example shown (Fig. I), the lower Spreading machine in the six rows a offset in the same direction as the upper one Laying machine. In one row b, the lower spreading machine does not receive any lateral offset, and in the following three rows c the offset is the lower spreading machine then in the opposite direction to that of the upper spreading machine. In the next row bi, the lateral offset of the lower spreading machine is used left out again, so that the lower spreading machine in the adjoining six Rows a of the next repeat can be moved in the same direction again like the upper machine. The offset of the for the purpose of rib formation inferior machine, alternating once in the direction of the upper spreading machine and then again opposite to the latter, has an alternating raising of the Goods to the left and to dc! right side result. The reasons for this are mainly to be found in the fact that it is the threads of the lower laying machine, which are placed underneath to form ribs. In this way these threads 2 will not, as is the case with chain cloth with lining, for example, on one side of the goods as it were pinned on, but the threads: 2 intertwine, as Fig. z clearly illustrated in the basic goods. This devouring takes place while according to principles familiar per se, namely in such a way that the threads 2 to the Places where they have been moved in the same direction as the threads i of the upper spreading machine from the left side the preventing threads 3 of the stitches wrap around the basic fabric and in this way the basic mesh at these points inclined, which unites both naturally leads to the goods in the right direction Side to lean through. On the other hand, at the points where the threads a in opposite directions Direction to the threads i of the upper machine are offset, the threads 2 come under to lie the connecting threads 3, thus hang in the mesh heads q. the on the stitches produced by the threads z underlayed needles at this point and This pulls these stitches into an approximately vertical position, which unites both the effect is that the goods are thrown through to the left of the goods at this point will. The ribs in the fabric thus run in the direction of the I1 rows of flaps.
A warp knitted fabric made in this way is now emerging all things are advantageous insofar as they are not worked in rayon how the well-known artificial silk ribbed goods lose their elasticity after washing.
