Es ist bekannt, bei Plattensprechmaschinen den Geschwindigkeitsregler selbst oder aber einen Teil des die Bremsung bewirkenden Hebels konzentrisch zur Tellerachse zu lagern, um so unter Vermittlung von Gestängen ein Annähern oder Entfernen von mit Bremsbelägen ausgestatteten, konzentrisch gelagerten Bremsscheiben zu erreichen. Dies wird meist durch schrägflächige Führungen oder Bahnen bewirkt. Auch sind Einrichtungen bekannt, bei denen die Schwungmassen des Geschwindigkeitsreglers am Plattenteller angeordnet sind und zum Einstellen verschiedener Geschwindigkeiten eine die Plattentellerachse mit einer Muffe umgebende waagerechte Scheibe angeordnet ist, die mit den Schwungmassen zusammenwirkt und mittels eines Gestänges nach der Höhe verstellbar ist.
