Description

Electrode for electrical gas cleaning In the previously known electrical The precipitate deposited on the electrodes must be used in gas cleaning systems be removed by shaking devices or other mechanical means to remove the Not to let the efficiency of the electric cleaning chamber drop too much. Such cleaning devices can only be dispensed with if you have the electrical Field selects so weak that the precipitate only applies little force to the electrode is pressed so that it can fall down by itself. But this is so again disadvantageous as this greatly reduces the degree of cleaning of the chamber. Present The invention now shows how this disadvantage can be avoided.

According to the invention, the electrodes have a polished surface Mistake. This has the advantage that the precipitated material also slips off, when the electric field in the collecting electrode is strong, i.e. the precipitation holding on to the electrode with considerable force. Because the The surface is polished, which can be done in some known way becomes the Friction between the electrode and the precipitate caused by the field Overcome gravity, and the precipitated dust falls off by itself.

In general, deposition and spray electrodes will be polished in such a way that that the precipitate slips off by itself. But it can also be used for different Purposes may be advantageous to use only one electrode, e.g. B. the spray electrode on which no precipitate should settle, to provide a smooth surface. Such, Electrodes polished according to the invention can advantageously be made from polished sheet metal or other metal. For various purposes, however, are also known Electrodes made of semiconductors such as marble or plaster are suitable for the are provided according to the invention with a polished surface.

Finally, electrodes made of a semiconductor can also be used cover with a substance that can be polished, such as e.g. B. graphite, and then this polishing. These materials can consist of conductors or non-conductors, as the case may be as it is necessary for the purpose of the gas cleaning system.

Electrodes with a smooth surface have also been used, z. B. wires or rods, but the surface of these electrodes is only in that sense smooth, as is the case with bodies that are usually made from raw materials by forging, Pulling, etc., is the case. The Dust solid and must by shaking the electrodes using special devices removed. On the other hand, the surface of the electrodes is cleaned with special tools polished, it can be deposited on them under the action of the electric field Precipitated material does not adhere, but is easily handled by gravity downward drawn. It has the advantage that special. Shaking devices for the electrodes can be saved.
