Der vorliegende Lokomotivkessel besteht aus drei cylindrischen Kesseln, von denen die beiden unteren als Wasser-, der obere theilweise als Wasser-, theilweise als Dampfraum dient. Die Vorzüge dieses Kessels vor anderen bis jetzt gebräuchlichen sollen beruhen auf der Möglichkeit einer Regulirung der Geschwindigkeit des Wassers bei seiner Circulation im Kessel, derart, dafs man im Stande ist, die Geschwindigkeit so zu bemessen, dafs die in unlösbarem Zustande im Wasser befindlichen Kesselsteinbildner vollständig abgesetzt und die Heizflächen in bester Weise ausgenutzt werden.
