Description
Method of bandaging a bundle of conductors During bandaging a bundle of conductors, for example the bundle of conductors of a magnetic coil, in which the bandage through a spiral at individual points, one on top of the other subsequent wrapping of the conductor bundle is made with a fiber tape, the individual layers of the spiral tape with each other and with the bundle of conductors firmly connected by a hardening adhesive. According to a well-known suggestion For this purpose, the fibrous webs are provided with a coating of synthetic resin. After winding the tape, the bandage is pressed into heated molds hardened and cemented to the conductor bundle. To practice this procedure are special molds required because of the great variety of coil shapes make a substantial capital investment and extensive storage necessary.
These difficulties are eliminated by the invention. In addition Bandaging methods which form the subject of the invention are not Molds necessary. The wrapped bandages also no longer heat up. According to the invention the fibrous tape is wetted with a liquid before it is wound up stretched and by swelling of a sticking to it or by taking up an in the liquid contained adhesive made sticky, then wound up and dried without applying heat. In the process, the spiral band is stretched through shrinkage stuck on the bundle of conductors. - It is particularly useful to use the bandages from one To produce paper-older pressboard tape, which you can use with a glue dissolved in water, z. B. so-called lime glue, coated. The moisture contained in the glue leaves act on the tapes for a while before winding them up. J @ e more moisture if one is allowed to penetrate the paper pulp, the more the tape is stretched. Man can thereby regulate the degree of shrinkage of the bandage in a simple manner.
