Der im Patent No. 43734 gekennzeichnete Sicherheitshaken eignet sich infolge der Einfachheit und Bequemlichkeit in der Benutzung besonders als Ringhaken zum Befestigen von Vieh an Krippen etc., derselbe ist aber weniger geeignet, wenn er als gewöhnlicher Zughaken zum Befestigen des Viehes an landwirtschaftlichen Geräthen und Maschinen Verwendung finden soll. Für die letzteren Zwecke ist es nofhwendig, dafs der Haken keine seitlichen, am Gehäuse vorstehenden Theile besitzt, ferner dafs die im Haken gehaltene Kette auch in gespanntem Zustande aus dem Gehäuse entfernt werden kann und dafs dieselbe nicht zurückgezogen werden mufs wie beim Haken des Patentes No. 43734.The patent no. 43734 marked safety hook is suitable due to the simplicity and convenience in use especially as a ring hook for fastening cattle to cribs etc., but the same is less suitable when used as an ordinary towing hook for attaching cattle to agricultural land Equipment and machines should be used. An dem anderen Ende besitzt das Gehäuse a¹ den einseitig offenen Schlitz c\ wie im Haupt-Patent No. 43734, in welchen die Zugkette g¹ des zu befestigenden Viehes eingelegt wird. Dieser offene Schlitz kann geschlossen werden durch einen unter Wirkung der Feder e¹ stehenden drehbaren und den Schlitz c¹ übergreifenden Schliefshebel d^l. Um diesen unter Federwirkung stehenden Bügel oder Schliefshebel d¹ bequem und leicht öffnen zu können, ist der' im Gehäuse a¹ drehbar angeordnete Anhebehebel h¹ angebracht, welcher unter das vordere Ende des Schliefshebels d^l greift und von diesem theilweise überdeckt wird. Ferner liegt bei dem neuen Haken die Zugrichtung in der Mittellinie des H'akengehäuses, während bei dem Haken des Haupt-Patentes diese Zugrichtung seitwärts des Gehäuses zu liegen kommt. Auch liegt noch ein wesentlicher Vortheil darin, dafs auch in bequemer Weise eine gespannte Kette leicht aus dem Gehäuse a¹ entfernt werden kann, da hierbei ein Anziehen der Kette wie bei Patent No. 43734 nicht nothwendig wird. Endlich ist auch die Herstellung und Handhabung des neuen Hakens eine einfachere und bequemere.
