Zur Darstellung des Farbstoffes werden 2 Molecule Naphtionsalz mit 1 Molecül Natriumnitrit in Wasser gelöst und unter Abkühlung mit ι Molecül verdünnter Schwefelsäure versetzt. Nach 2 bis 3 Stunden ist die Reaction beendet. erhalten durch Aussalzen oder Eindampfen. Das neutrale amidoazonaphtalindisulfosäure Natrium
färbt Seide, Wolle und mit Thonerde oder Tannin gebeizte Baumwolle ziegelroth. Die Farbe zeichnet sich durch grofse Lichtbeständigkeit
aus. + Na 2 SO 4 + 2 H 2 O.
