Abstract

The vehicle signalling display is used to indicate to the vehicle driver the amount of noise generated by the vehicle engine, dependent on the acceleration. It employs a mechano-acoustic transducer (3) with an oscillating membrane (6) incorporated in the vehicle passenger space, coupled to the air intake line or the exhaust gas line for the IC engine via a pneumatic line containing a throttle (8) controlled in dependence on the engine acceleration. Pref. the throttle is controlled by an electric setting motor in response to a signal representing the depression of the vehicle accelerator pedal. USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides feedback signal to vehicle driver to give pleasant awareness of high-speed revolving engine esp. during acceleration. Ein elektrischer Stellmotor 9 dient zum Antrieb der Drosselklappe 7 bzw. des Drosselorgans 8, das fahrzeugbeschleunigungsabhängig in eine der jeweili­ gen Fahrzeugbeschleunigung entsprechende Offenstellung gesteuert wird zur pneumatischen Beaufschlagung der Mem­ brane 6.   • - wobei die Anzeigevorrichtung einen mechano­ akustischen Wandler (3) umfaßt, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
  • - daß der Wandler (3) eine einem Fahrgastraum (4) benachbart an einem freien Ende eines mit einer Leitung (Hauptleitung 2) des Ansaug- und/oder Auspuffsystems verbundenen Rohres (5) angeordnete Membrane (6) ist, die
  • - pneumatisch mit dem jeweiligen Systems mittels eines in dem Rohr (5) stromauf der Membrane (6) angeordneten, fahrzeugbeschleunigungs­ abhängig steuerbaren Drosselorgans (8; Dros­ selklappe 7) verbindbar ist.
