Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein Heizofen, der mit flüssigem Brennstoff g-eheizt wird. Das Wesen der Erfindung- besteht darin, daß der Brennstoff in einer Vergaserlampe verbrannt und die erzeugte Wärme einem Wärmespeicher zugeführt wird. Durch die Verwendung einer derartigen Lampe in Verbindung mit dem Wärmespeicher kann der Ofen in verhältnismäßig kurzer Zeit bei geringem Brennstoffverbrauch auf eine hohe Temperatur gebracht und die aufgespeicherte Wärme allmählich abgegeben werden. Man kann die Lampe nach verhältnismäßig kurzer Brenndauer löschen, und es wird dem zu beheizenden Raum die erforderliche Wärme aus dem Wärmespeicher zugeführt.
